Design

Key goals of this game were to explore what a retro "clicker" might have been like, and more importantly, trying to make a clicker without depending on giving a small spreadsheet to the user. Given that this is a minimalist clicker, a lot of effort was spent on trying to make sure every element, both gameplay and visual, is fun and conveys meaningful gameplay information. From little details like the crying robots to the news header, I feel like the effort really brought the experience together even when the clicker-style pacing didn't get polished to the level I wanted.

Future

Planning to release a V2 with better pacing, sound and music, and a longer story. Stay tuned!

New trend: Mallows and chill :)
This game kept me entertained the whole way through - graphics were perfect, dialogue was fun, all in all, quirky and entertaining.
Would it need another element like operating costs? Could add another layer of complexity.

Nicely done! I enjoyed beat the game. First my finger hurts because I was striking "x" the faster I can, then bots save my finger i was so happy  Nice ending too.

That was awesome and instructive, I didn't knew mallows were made with cocaine and dopamine !

That was... way more wit, detail, and social commentary than I was expecting from a Pico8 clicker game. Enjoyed the entire journey, from "supplanting mallow clicker jobs through automation" to "full-on Illuminallow-sponsored mallowcide".

...I think the crying robot animations may still have been my favorite part, though.

Cute little clicker game! The narrative was a bit heavy-handed, but it was also more than goofy enough to excuse, haha. I think some audio would have gone a long way towards making the assembly line feel more satisfying, but there's only so much you can get done in a jam :)

The news ticker was definitely the best part.

Awesome game. The second comment here made me keep playing until the end, and it was worth it. It's really easy, in fact I don't know if you can lose, if not it's not much of a game, but it was really fun anyways.

Really enjoyed this game, good theme and fun to play. Would have liked some sound to go with it though.

It's lots of fun but now my left hand is tired (it's fine now)! Also the ending is rather spooky, this is probably the darkest game I've played.
