Mayan Headache is a puzzle game in which you behead fellow mayans in order to get the favours of the gods.

Align at least 3 heads of the same color in order to clear them.

The guillotine falls on a regular basis but can be forced to fall in order to gain time as the game speeds up over time. This can be countered by slowing time down for a while in exchange of score points.

Left - Right / A - D : Move your swap cursor
Space : Swap characters / Validate menu option
Shift : Force guillotine to fall
Left Control : Slow time (while it is pressed)
Up-Down : Navigate menu options
Escape : Return to main menu

WOW! This is a seriously slick production. Quality I'd expect in a commercial game. Brilliant use of the theme. Tetris Attack, but with a Mayan theme. I'd (literally) buy that.

Looks and plays incredible! While it is a simple stacking/matching colour game, it's a great mix up of the genre and the concept of mass guillotining googly eyed mayans is absolutely hilarious. Incredibly solid entry all around, difficult to really find an issue with it. Fantastic job! :grinning:

It look beautiful, sounds great and has a very nice atmosphere! Also the sacrifice idea fits very good with the game mechanic. But for my taste the guillotine fall to fast and the perspective of the game field made it very hard to play. But never the less this is a great entry!

I like this game a lot :) It doesn't feel like there was any rush doing it and it has a simple but interesting game idea behind it. It fels a bit like a game for a smartphone or one of thos tetris games that are popular these days - but with much better graphics and an own idea :D Good job

It looks beautifull and the feedback you get from cutting the heads off is 👌. High Production value.

I am being extremely picky here but ...The scoreboard blends in with the environment quite well. For people who wants to get high scores - may make a bit difficult.

Great idea executed extremely well.
The visuals are great, the music super fitting and the theme is linked mechanically. Do I event have to mention the llama?

My only complaint would be that easy is still too hard or I just might be super bad at this...

Really great production values, but I felt like the amount of time it takes for the guillotine to fall was really arbitrary and made it really difficult to pursue any meaningful strategy. The amount of score drained when using slow-motion is also too high in my opinion - you have to waste way too many points to get even a minor advantage. IMO a separate, automatically refillable bar would work better here.

All in all I think this the game's core is solid but with some tweaking you could end up with a much more enjoyable game.

This looks spectacular and the music is perfect. I've never played a game with these mechanics before either, it felt really difficult - I couldn't keep up well enough to think through my moves - so maybe a slower ramping up of the guillotine speed would help, but it was fun anyway and I'm crazy impressed that you made something so beautiful over a weekend.
