Great work with limited colours, nice animations. I like the mood of mysterious lands up high in the sky, so this game resonated with me.
Gameplay-wise everything seems solid, game mechanics really emphasise theme.
But I think the wooden platforms are falling way too fast (or maybe I'm too slow).
Молодцы!
but its 10 out of 10 as always
The little animation of the ship is great too (even if I don't want to see it each time I restart a level).
Loved the music.
I'm not too sure about the gameplay though. Some tiles seem to collapse randomly with time? If not, there is not enough visual feedback for me to understand how it works. The level design didn't work for me either. The tile based movement seems to indicate that it's a puzzle game, yet the levels are too big to understand the mechanics. I finished the first level but didn't care enough once I lost a few times in the second one to perservere. The invisible tiles seem like a random idea, and not a very elegant one for puzzles.
I'd love to see a postjam version with a few short levels to introduce the mechanics as a sort of tutorial, the graphic style really caught my eye and I wanted to love the game! :)
Really nice art and chiptune audio,
Really enjoyed the art, and the way the audio is integrated feels really on-point. The animation is fantastic and so well detailed. This is pixel art on overdrive :D
The only real gripe is the gameplay, it's decent but not great, there's not that much to figure out, more just knowing what does what. Some timing bits are timing bits and other than that it's an elaborate pacman minus the ghosts.
The levels might be too sprawling for the game of a puzzling nature but... Yeah it's kinda stuck between being a puzzler or an action game. Kinda reaches neither ends.
But I still had fun doing the romp and it's a pretty good game for what it is, the game design could have been much worse given the chosen design space, but it isn't :)
Kudos!
Ummm... I don't think I really have any complaints here. I guess I noticed a thing where the timing of being able to walk off a collapsing platform is a little too strict, and thus sometimes it looks like I'm falling through the floor because I'm halfway on another tile. BUT! I got through the whole thing regardless! This was AWESOME.
Really glad you like it ^^
We are indie-dev team FourQuarters, with 4 friends, not actual serious studio I guess :)
Very enjoyable!
By the way please feel free to leave us some feedbacks on our game!
