I personally enjoyed this very much. A rock-solid execution of a tried and tested concept coupled with beautiful graphics. The only thing lacking being audio. I would love to see this improved post-jam - the pun in the title had me hooked

I love the pixel art! This game looks great! Game play is not quite as good yet but it is getting there

The game looks amazing, the animation is top notch! I wonder, what's the background for this game? Why is apple guy out to kill all the vegetables? A little bit of story might tie me to the game even closer.

A fun little game. I really liked the way all of the animation worked together with the in-game movements. It all felt very smooth. My big issue is use of the spacebar; for some reason, Firefox doesn't allow proper focus on HTML5 games and will scroll down when the spacebar is hit (in addition to actually rolling).

Aside from the spacebar thing I think you did really well! Great work!

Overall good game! Have the same spacebar issue. And the most annoying thing for me is the carrot enemy: he start his attack while offscreen and moves pretty quick. No one can harm me but this guy.

I liked the graphics, although killing enemies seem really difficult. I wasn't aware of any of the controls, let alone reloading, until after I played a few attempts.

The art is fantastic and it has very simple easy to pick up gameplay. What it really needs is more juice, specifically some sound effects to tie things together (though I don't if that had something to do with my computer)

Well done. Definitely one of the most polished games I've seen this Ludum Dare.

Really great pixel art and animation, lack of music or any sounds makes it feel bit empty. Gameplay is well executed. Difficulty might bit too hard in the beginning, I didn’t manage to get any downgrades in my few tries.

Ps. Read the other comments after writing this: I guess there were supposed to be sounds in the game, for some reason they didn’t work for me..

Solid shoot'em up, i would like to see it once finished :) I did'nt know if I the downgrade was working as I couldn't really interact much with the campfire, but I managed to reach theorically level 1 I guess xD Really impressive art and *gamefeel*, it smells like Nuclear Throne ! Great and good looking sprites and animations, movements and firing feels good, great job with different baddies, it's totally understandable that you had not time to do everything planned .This is very promising ! Cheers !

Looks great! I love your art. Sadly game runs 5fps for me. Don't know why :s

Pretty challenging to say the least, but looks really good and is enjoyable. There wasn't any sound however, and the difficulty curve is a bit busted. What you've provided however is really polished, good job!
