Very nice
My face after sacrificing an hour! Worth. Every. Second.
I can't believe people actually do the one hour thing!!! Whoever does this can see that we didn't count on people doing it :)
@doctormozart - he doesn't have a user on ldjam (maybe it's time that he makes one though) but he uploaded it because you asked :)

My only issue was that the size of your hitbox felt way too big, it took me a while to realize it was the actual size of the graphic - because of the 2d isometric perspective of the art of the game I was expecting it to be a square just at the feet. Getting hit in the head by something that is supposed to be behind you broke the perspective of the art, it also means its harder to dodge things coming at you horizontally than vertically.
It was a little frustrating to beat the final boss because of this, but I loved the game and I had to beat it, and it was easier once I realized what my problem was.
Amazing Game overall! Definitely a favorite from this LD :)

But for real, a very nice and challenging game. I love games like Zelda and Paradious. And this game is just got bosses which are unique, got a good AI and and challenging abilities. Maybe a temporary single field blocker like fire or a burning curse where you have to jump into water would be a nice addition. But anyhow this game is awesome and one of the most fun games in this LD:). Very nice work.
Who was the final boss? The father, trying to kill the son? The son killing himself? The son in a dream, not noticing the father killing him?
Only thing that bothered me - there's pretty much no reason not to constantly hold the FIRE button. Would be nice if there was more of a reason to be careful with when you press it (e.g., an enemy with a shield that reflects shots back to you), otherwise I just hold the FIRE button all the time and forget about it.
Anyway, really awesome game, thank you for making it!
(also, I love the name :) )
Now just to see what happens if I wait...
 This was a lot of fun, and the difficulty progression was perfect for someone of my skill level. The narrative was very dark and well written, with enough left ambiguous to make me think.
:point_right: I'm generally not a fan of this genre, but I think this is a bit easier, because I was able to beat it. It would have been nice to see the theme/narrative tied a bit stronger into the game.
:star: Overall excellent job, I really enjoyed playing this!
!> The last boss' "innocent" graphic's seemed a bit more rushed, which makes sense if you anticipate most people will not see it.
!> It was really cool that there was some payoff ^_^ thanks for that!
