A simple concept but a great outcome! I love that more days pass per click the older you become. Intentional or not, it's a morbid metaphor for how fast life flashes by as you get further into it. Existential maaan...

I think I vaguely get the idea of what you were going for here, but the trouble is, it just doesn't make for a very rewarding game. The player doesn't have any thing to do except a single action, the game ends the same way each time, and it can be completed in... what, 30 seconds? It *might* work as an art thing, but there's just not enough game to it, I'm afraid. Which I suspect could be taken as a statement about the clicker genre as a whole, but at least there it's something of an endurance contest with one's friends to see who can keep clicking longest. Your game was an interesting idea, mind you, but I just think it could've used a bit more planning about game mechanics and what-have-you.

I wish there were Life Sim aspect of the game where you make life choices or something to change the look of the person. Maybe exercise makes you younger or not use cane at 40 lol. Interesting concept for sure!

If you could add one thing to this game, what would it be?

my only comment is dang, you need a cane at 40?!?!

Ha. A lot of contemplation here! Would be cool if there was some branching- or different characters each time. Also, I wonder if the cane was introduced a decade or two early? Then again, maybe not. Thanks for the game!

I missed some elements from idle clicker games. Maybe you could choose some courses to attend, in order to have money, a profession, maybe start a family. The drawings are beautiful though!

Thanks for everyone who played! I appreciate all the comments.

The early cane is due to me not spacing out the years too well when I was making the artwork. It's funny how many people noticed that.

Regarding comments from Ninja, Jeffrey, and fitz -- I considered adding the ability to select from a few different options at each stage of life, but I wanted to keep it super simple because I had limited time over the weekend. I agree it would've been a nice touch to add the illusion of choice, however the ultimate outcome would stay the same: time marches on.

Nice and simple but conveys the theme well. Nice artwork as well.

Haha love that you get a cane at the age of 40 and then you stay the same until you are 70 years! Simple game, but follows the theme. Would like to see something extra though because of the simple game play.

That was an original idea, but maybe a little too few variations in the images. A few more clicks and I should probably run to get a cane :o
What about a highscore list to see how fast you can die?

Really interesting idea. The only thing I can think of as an improvement is more variety in the pictures, like maybe one for school, another for working, one for major events in like (e.g. weddings, children, etc).

Played this on stream, very interesting game and a unique combination of themes :yum:

I played one life, but it was a life well spent

I honestly love the simplicity of it, and there was nothing really major to nitpick on other than what others have said about different pictures for between the lifestages and events etc.

Had a blast - Thanks for making this game!
