Gastric Hell by dwemthy
The devil lost his favorite marble.
Well not "lost" it so much as he ate it.
Point is he wants his marble back and it's your job to go get it. His intestines are windy with many passages and you're likely to get lost; you're not the first person he sent in. Use your lantern to find your way, but don't run out of fuel or you'll be lost forever. Be ware of partially digested meals wandering the devil's tract. Keep an eye out for friendly spirits, you can capture them in your lantern and burn them for light.
WASD to move, mouse to aim the lantern, and Esc to reset.

Gameplay is nice, I like that it's fast paced. Text screens at the start were too fast to read tho (at least for me). Monsters can be walked around - is that intentional? I feel that if they weren't, the game would be much harder, so it is probably intentional. Also would be nice to see character's position on the mini map.
Graphics and sound are great, really bring the atmosphere (of devil's insides).
The UI could definitely use some work though, it was very hard to see what's what when first loading the game. Also, the text at the beginning was way too fast.
Both graphics and music were pretty good!
Please remember to rate other Ludum Dare games yourselves, otherwise people won't find your game easily. The more games you rate yourselves, the more people will rate your game!
Loved the music by the way, my favorite is the end-screen guitar loop :musical_note: Reminds me of the Dwarf Fortress tune, which I really liked.
When I finally found the marble, I heard the sound effect again, but this time it was in a positive context, so it felt kind of like I had conquered my fears :triumph:
Super solid game, awesome work.
Story is original, refreshing and shows great potential. Good work!!
