I love the style of the game and it fits nicely with the theme! The sounds seem to be repeating a little too much for my liking but overall it was a really enjoyable experience.

Good use of theme, gameplay felt a little clunky but I could see this being a larger game; definitely some cool ideas in there and nice visuals!

Yep, i see its clunky in the start. I just wanted the ship to be basic in the begging, next time i should give the player a more powerfull feeling from start. Thanks for the info!@carlsonandpeeters

Great game, the core concept is really similar to the game I made with a friend.

Uunfortunately I encountered some bugs:
* Buying the canoneer upgrade does not immediately display the level you just bought.
* When winning the game and pressing replay, you win again after buying from the first shop, in which you only have 15 credits, instead of the real amount (The amount credits you see while shooting stuff, is always zero.)

Nice game, I like the graphics that are kind of 90's :D
The music is a bit repetitive but it adds to the 90's feeling. Neat !

eh pacing really kills it, wanted to love it as it matches one of my favorite classic video games. Especially with the old school graphics and mechanics. However, it felt so slow to move around and fire rate was not high enough to kill everything. Also might I suggest a .zip file for windows instead of rar.

Thanks @darkguardsman for the feedback. Yes im regretting not giving more speed to the ship. You can upgrade speed and fire rate. But maye starts so low.

It was sometimes frustrating how slow my ship was shooting but I got used to it after a while. At first, I also thought that I was supposed to defend the outpost where I started but then realised I had to fly forward to finish the mission :D As others said, very 90'-ish feel.

The idea behind the game is solid but movement is a bit too slow. It was still fun for a while though. The music was a bit repetitive but instrument was fitting for a retro shooter. Nice effort!

(Tested on v1.03)
At first I thought I was playing space invaders xD Then I realized I can actually move forward.

The movement of the player ship feels kind of slow. Maybe some landmarks can help so that player can actually see that the ship moves forward by passing the landmarks. Other options are probably to make the ship actually faster or to insert some sort of boosting-overlay effect(tunnel vision effect and/or blury on the outsides of the screen)

I would have preferred a gun that can fire faster or at least in short bursts.

Overall nice & fun game :)

@smara Thanks for the feedbak. Yeah was a mistake giving the ship the low movement and the slow attack rate. Maybe after the LD voting i make changes to be more playable the speed and the attack rate. Perhaps after all my own testing i was used to the current state and i was going for level 2 speed and level 2 steering for the first.
