Space Shooter Redux Created In 1 Day. Assets From Kenney.nl.

My First Game Jam. Special Thanks To Unity Technologies.

Every 50 Seconds You Will Lose Some Life Points In Order To Upgrade Your Bullet. After 5 Times, It Wont Upgrade Anymore, Try To Get A Good Score.

Controls: - Movement(WASD/Arrows/Controller) - Shoot (Left Control).

The Bullets Have 5 Levels.

Please play on 1366x768, or HD, if its possível.

This Was Made With Unity 5.6.1f1.

Pretty fun! Basic space shooter. The game was overall clean and nice, but the gameplay could use some variety :)

Neat game, i managed to trick the enemy ships by flying behind em :D but i couldn't manage to win the game

Nice work on this! I'd make it so the bullets came out a little slower, at least for the enemies, and the ship movement was a little fast but overall it was lots of fun!

Nice game.

Quite simple, but enjoyable :smiley:

Though I felt like enemies didn't even take my bullets and asteroids were too fast to react.

The idea is great, and imo it's about balance to polish it :slight_smile:

Very simple premise. The easiest solution was to fly "behind" the enemies and just dodge rocks until you had a real strong lazer.

I also tried the "fly behind the strategy" and also found out, that since there is no ship collision you can just sit directly on top of the enemies and even damage them, when they don't hit you, sind they are bigger.

And if you do it correctly it kinda looks like you upgraded your ship :D

Welcome man! glad to see it's your first jam game!
Your game is good, simple and straight forward, as some here say it would be nice to see some variety in gameplay. It might not even need to be a different enemy, but it could be an event with loads of asteroids, or changing the bullets' hue to show that they deal more damage, little tricks like that. Good entry, keep it up! :)

Nice game but maybe a way to win back life would be nice, like kill enemies will grant life but they will deal more damages, because sometime you take damage and you know the next upgrade will kill you whatever you do :/

Also I had a issue where the enemies were immortal.

But its a nice game, it has potential ! GG

I think the first enemy stayed alive a bit to long to start the game with, for the rest i enjoyed it

Great concept, simple yet fun. However, the bullets' sound gets a bit annoying after a while and I feel like it's pretty hard to hit the asteroids.
Still had fun with this, I think you're onto a great game :)

Like the game, At the fourth upgrade my weapon didn't work anymore though, which was sad because I love beating high scores and all :)! Nice game and pretty fun!

I got 11k score. Kenney assets are good, the sound when there are many ships on screen it's very mind numbing maybe lower volume or have a softer sound. Impressive for 1 day of making the game, and thank you for rating over 50 games.

Highlights:

- The background and the stream of player bullets looked good.

- Player movement was very smooth.

- Good sound on the player's bullet stream.

To Improve:

- Bullets stopped doing damage after a certain level

- Enemy AI doesn't need to be crazy complicated but mirroring the player moves isn't the best option either.

- The health-costing upgrade was forced, this should change to fit the currency theme.
