I feel like there's a lot of potential for future expansion by adding additional ways to interact with your neighbours, since once you've got a decent layout set up there isn't much more to do at the moment. Perhaps there's also potential for larger maps with more simultaneous players as well, though this might reduce the personal aspect of the game interacting with the other players closely.
