Under Wave by Riper

PersonskeletonClip_super.jpg Your life depends on many factors. By abandoning them you give up life.

And then came the moment when you stayed under water and your life depends on your oxygen. Any action takes some time to implement, and for this you spend your life, air.

In the game you find yourself in a difficult situation on an underwater base, you have to calculate your most valuable resource to save your life.

To control these buttons are used: WASD - movement; E - to interact with the subject, return to the base; F - for securing resources.

In order to get to the land and win you will need: - Update O2 Generator to max Level - Update Rubbish Recycler to max Level - 3000 materials and 3000 oxygen

But you must remember: - Your oxygen level is constantly decreasing. - You must constantly turn on the generator, because your oxygen level will decrease faster - And the constant lack of resources

List of updates: - Added prices for updates - Fixed bug with pressing E - Added background music - interface changed

Here are two notes that will help get you up to date:

"May 10, 2030 12:00 John Smith

It's time to make my montt report.

When we arrived here, we were told, that the capacity of the batteries is big enough to supply us with energy for two yesrs. After the term, crew had to deliver us new batteries.

A week later, we lost electricity, the reason was that the batteries were stored in the remote compartment, which was gone. We made a suggestion, that it was destroyed by a large animal. To solve the electricity problem, we have built a new generator.

For the third week, we realized that we were running out of oxygen, and with the extra materials we built a new oxygen generator."

"April 1, 2031 10:30 John Smith

Over the past year, more than half of our employees have disappeared, so as many compartments with materials and supplies.

We still got no idea, what's going on.

Employees are terrified, we run out of oxygen, the pressure is above normal.

To solve these problems, we want to create a material generator that will recycle garbage.

After that we will be able to improve the oxygen generator with the obtained materials.

But we won't be able to leave our base for a long time. Every drop of oxygen and every second is priceless If we stay alive for a next year, those who bring us batteries will pick us up."

I like the concept and look a lot. Seems to be an issue with depositing collected resources though, just getting an error from the o2 machine saying "false" when i interact in any way, but that seems to be the only thing I can do. Not sure if i'm missing someting?

@viralsun We did not have time to make widgets with tips on what to do, but in the game you can turn off electricity and you need to go to the second generator and press E to turn on the electricity, going to the oxygen generator you can collect air by pressing E, or improve it by pressing F, but to improve you need materials, you need to leave the room and collect garbage, if you go to the end of the room, you can build a garbage processor, and thus make materials, and the point is that you need to maximize all generators

@riper Yeah I worked that out, I just couldn't actually deposit any materials anywhere. I'll give it another go in a bit when I've finished the ones I have queued up. Thanks for getting back to me.

@caorjavier I think quite a lot of games are written on an unreal engine, can you please answer one question, can you open the game file for Windows?

I like the art, but I feel like this game would be so much better with sound, adding a background music and some feedback for player actions would change a lot!

Looks great, but it lags on my laptop (and blurring effect makes it hard to stay long, may be of my hardware). Nevertheless, it is obvious that you've done lot of work. Models are the best. GJ!

Nice concept :)
However, I feel the game lack a bit on the information given to the player. We do know that we need to repair/restart a system at a given time, but we don't know how much it will cost. So i'm basically going out to harvest as much as possible hoping it'll be enough :p . Still fun to pass some time.

Very good game! But I didn't see the Rubbish Recycler. You shold indecate that there is something(I know you see "upgrade", but I didn't go to the fence, so I didn't see it). And at some point you can see through the ground. But overall a really fun game. I played it twice and about 45min  :. Good job!

It looked good but the music doesn't fit the tone of the game for me. A few things needed an explanation in game but all in all a decent submission. Nice!

I'm not sure I got all the mechanics correctly. I'd love to see more tooltips in game or just before the game starts.

Here is my playtest:
