Finding Cookie by samh

:joystick: Play on itch.io!
Cookie is missing. Follow the cat lady in this epic quest for her beloved cat!
The game was written with the PICO-8 fantasy console and a lot of love by @Niarkou and @samh
Note: we ran out of time finishing the quest code, so what happens in this version of the game is that stray cats are found and the story unfolds automatically as you proceed to kill enemies.

I still don't get how cats join me and how i can collect money but throwing huge amounts of fruits at bat and blob was fun. Your cinematic universe is definitely growing in a great direction, i can't wait to check your next game :) Nice work ! ( Also the music and the art is as cool as ever ;) )
I'm getting this error message when I try to play (Safari v 12.1) and Chrome.
I'll check the escarlib if I make some time. I did something similar for my pico8 games, but haven't updated to latest pico versions.
Congrats on the entry!
GG to the team !
Nice entry. Graphics were charming and the text was wonderful. The music got a little repetitive but it was not too distracting! The cramped quarters made fighting the bats extremely difficult. It would have been nice to have everything spread out a little more, but I loved the procedurally generated maps!
Very nice!
the beginning game is a bit tricky, because you do not know very well how to position yourself, but when you get the hang of it, the game gets easier.
tip: I would set a wave system according to the number of dogs you have, thus leaving the waves more challenging.
I have to admit, I don't see how this fits the theme at all. There's a life counter and a currency counter in the bottom-left but neither of them actually seem to do anything. That's my only real complaint, though. It'd be great to see this expanded upon, with the missing content implemented, but what you have is already very good.
