Strategies

I took care most on making game system while creating this game.

so I'd be more happy when you understand and enjoy these system.

Basic strategy : kill them, kill yourself

youhaveyourprice.PNG

you should know you have two parameters other than life. the money pool (upper smaller number of the image) and the rate (lower bigger number of image).

when you kill the monsters. you get your money pool increased.

when your money pool exceeds to your rate, you can mak 1up.

so, below is the most simple gaming cycle.

  1. you shoot and kill many monsters, that increase your money pool.
  2. get you money pool exceed to your price, then make 1UP.
  3. sacrifice your ship(=life) clash to the exchanger (rotating coin in the screen) to get final score.

but when you understand the game system further, you can achieve higher score.

Intermediate strategy : you have a rate, that's floating

youhaveyourprice3.PNG

I make the size of displaying the rate bigger than the money pool. the rate is impoertant, that is FLOATING, getting higher and lower.

so you can get higher score adding below strategy to the basic strategy.

  1. when your rate is low (say, 50) you should 1UP.
  2. when your rate is high (say, 200) you should sacrifice your lives.

and now you'd notice there are other numbers on the game screen.

Advanced strategy: they also have their rate and money pool

nesthaspricetoo.PNG

there is 3 monster's nests that have the rate and money pool, too.

their rates are also floating.

and when their money pool exeed their rate, they spawns monster.

so taking care about these rates. you can do...

  1. when the nest's rate is low and getting higher, clash to it. GIVE your life as they spawn much monsters, and KEEP THEM ALIVE.
  2. when the nest's rate is high. kill the monsters they spawned, to TAKE higher moneypool. harvest time!

put all of strategy into the gameplay you can exceed 10,000 pts as final score.

enjoy!

I like the basic idea.

It is fun that you can have many ships at the same time.

I want more enemies on the screen! And maybe a bigger screen :-)

Thank you for the game!

Love the idea, potential great chaos generator !

It' clicked for when I realised I could have more than one player at the same time. As a criticism, perhaps it would be better if everything was a bit smaller so there could be more on-screen

I like the idea too. I feel like the person behind clone troopers and brutal. my criticisms would be the same as the others who commented before me. my irresponsible intuition tells me that this might make a fun local multiplayer game (clones vs. monsters). anyway, well done :-)

Great idea!
It is really interesting to control everything like that.
Probably stuff could be a bit smaller, but besides that, he game feels really nice.

It took me a while to understand that I 1up actually spawned another ship .Once you get the hang of it, the game is quite fun. But I think that the screen needs to be bigger

Got 6085.103!

I like the idea of getting stronger and then selling your strength to increase your score. In this game it seemed like the best strategy was to collect as many spaceships as possible and then crash them all into the "money spot" right before the timer ran out.

I was a bit confused by the numbers under the enemy bases. What do they mean?

Maybe it's a bit hard to understand the mechanism but when I know how the game works it's a lot fun.

Really fun game, got around 4400 highscore, but I mostly played without cashing in score lol. Great mechanics, nice and simple graphics and probably the best music I heard in LD game ever. And the game also fits theme really nicely.

I like the idea behind it. The fact that you can cumulate many shipe at once is really cool, but to push the idea even further, I think you should get rid of the timer, and let the player fight enemies until he doesn't have any health left. Also, you game should spawn way more enemies, to make the game more challenging, because it gets a bit boring after a while.

It was a bit overwheling for me at first, trying to understand what each mechanic does, but in the end, it was a pretty cool experience. Great job ;)
