How can a Demon merchant be this cool!? by ilPrinny

[raw]
made by ilPrinny for LD 44 (JAM)

First Ludum dare game. it is a text based problem solving game where you have to make decisions around whether to sacrifice Health for extra money.

I don't know enough about any of the engines I use so I decided to do a text based game, I am not a writer or anything.

I had alot of fun with this Ludum dare, but some things I have learned from this project: - Dont do text adventures if you do not like to write - Dont make something to big or the end will be rushed and not tested

I think you should change the link on the post to the right one. Not everyone is going to look in the comments!

That was a fun story, I thought a lot about my choices and they always factored into the narrative.

Ha! It was worth it to come back here, now that the link is working. Your game is great! I played one round and died at the end, but I will definitely try other routes later today. Shame on me, I've never played a text based adventure before, so i have no comparison, but besides from the story and the consistency to the theme, I liked the clear navigation and usage of colors in the dialogues.

this is some nice text adventure..simply fullfilling the theme...the problem is when you get hurt to the bashing monster on the bridge without any weapon, the game says you crossed the bridge almost safely...but the game crashes/exits

Thanks for the heads up, found the error.
It crashes if you go through the bridge with only the Dagger as a weapon, I can fix it with ease

I really appreciate your story. It is an interesting thing to conjecture what will happen next.
Travel Map is a great idea to provide information. But maybe It will be better if using more dialog to imply how to survive.

Oh,..old school text adventure...We not used to play that type of games nowadays!!

It requires some Imagination =D for the graphics! I imagined playing it as pixel art!!!

Good job!

there is one note though, google chrome is reporting the file, and asking if i'm sure that i want to download that suspicious file, and even after downloading, the windows defender say it doesn't trust that file, and when i ran it, windows say it is from unknown source, am I sure about this!!! So I trust and bypassed all that, but may be other person won't, and might simply delete it before playing.

Yeah even my computer gives me warnings, I'm pretty sure it is because it's a raw exe, I will try and make sure that's not the case for future projects.
