Time City by zhaojun8443

[raw]
made by zhaojun8443 for LD 44 (JAM)

Welcome to the time city, people usually use time to exchange money, but there is no way to exchange money for time. But in time city, you can not only use time to exchange money but also use money to buy time.

1.Mouse click screen to control character movement.

2.Roles can be moved to the building to interact.

3.If the survival time is close, the game will end.

3.Money can be exchanged for time in the game via the TIme Watch button. Enjoy.

I like this kind of game, voxel is a nice choice there. I think this is like the movie time. For limited time of game development I'd say this is nicely done.

Loved the style! Pretty easy to understand, and fun to play.
I didn't hear any sound while I was playing, but otherwise things went pretty smoothly.

I started my day by jumping up and down in the streets, eventually ending up in the police station and a factory where I talked to people, clicked menus until my mouse broke, and then I continued jumping in the streets to get to another place.

Pretty novel use of the theme. Can't remember the name, but reminds me of a flash game I used to play all the time as a kid.

Art was solid, wasn't super entertained by clicking through menu's however. Not much to say about gameplay, but the overall presentation was good.

I loved the voxel art! Scrolling through the options at the various stops felt very tedious, maybe that could be sped up a bit? Fun take on the theme, thanks for sharing!

I enjoyed your game a ton! The artwork was great, and the animations were really smooth! The humor was pretty hilarious too! It was hard to figure out how you would die in the game. At first, I thought it was only food, but it turns out that energy also was a part of the game as well. The graphics would also pair really well with some sound. Otherwise, nice simple controls. Well done!

Looks great. The balance could do with some tweaking, I was able to essentially play forever by just working, buying life and burgers, working some more, and repeating the process. Pretty good for a weekend though!

The concept of the game is powerful. It touches a theme that has a moral dilemma and reflection attached to it. On technical aspects, the game is solid, the artwork and audio, in general, are great and fits the game.

At a specific moment, I just felt like the game was a bit pointless, but maybe that's.. life? I don't know haha!

Anyways, lovely work, keep it up :)
