You know, I was super surprised when I first read the description about the minimalist tools you used to make your game. Once I collected all the coins, I was expecting something else to happen, but when that simple sound effect played with a "You Won!" message, I just sat there for a solid 3 seconds until I burst out laughing. I got so much joy from that that I played the game 3 more times. The sheer simplicity of this actually made me love it all the more.

Even though you didn't really use the theme at all and the game is super simplistic, you're getting a 5/5 for humor and fun from me, I truly enjoyed this, well done! Hahaha

I made it to level 24, and I'm not gonna lie, it was getting stressful haha.
Overall it was a very simple, yet quite fun and addictive.
The sound effects were very satisfying, and fed into the addictiveness I think.
In the future adding a bit of visual flair will go a long way to drastically improve simple games like this.
Overall, well done, and keep up the great work! :D

I like the progression. I feel like the player sped up a bit after the first level (or maybe that was my imagination). Pretty straightforward gameplay, solid enough. Nice audio. Fun to race around the level. I played through 4 levels. Extra credit for not using a big game engine.

AH NO I got a score of 22 :weary: This was fun! It took a while for me to understand the difficulty behind it, but once I noticed the timer getting shorter and shorter, I realized that a simple concept was getting quite hard to keep up with. The controls felt responsive and fluid, though I had a lot of trouble getting coins that were a diagonal from my current position. It often felt like I couldn't make very short movements and kept circling around a single coin trying to get it. Other than that, I liked zipping around the small area, trying to collect all the coins back and forth. You picked some good sounds that work with the game. Perhaps adding a couple more different coin sounds of varying tones and randomizing those sound effects would add some extra flair in the audio department. It was a quick and easy to learn experience overall, though.

@plexsoup Yes, each time the level is increased, the speed is increased and the playing time is reduced, the real challenge is from level 15 onwards xD, thanks for playing it!

I got to level 23 before losing. I like how in a way, the movement getting faster actually makes it harder to collect the coins.

Crazy one, it started boring game, and ended up being very challenging.

Also good job, as it seems you made your own game from scratch not using any modern engine, via something like allegro, which is impressive!

Regarding the gameplay, my only recommendation is to make sure no coins are spawned behind the UI text, as most of the time, I know that I've collected everything, but the level not ended, and by looking carefully, i find a coin is behind the text.

My only recommendation is not about the game itself, it is to use something like itch.io or dropboox, as mediafire required med to use VPN to access it.

Very nice! The fact that you did this in allegro both terrifies and intimidates me. It's refreshing to play a game with such responsive controls, as simple as it is
