Last minutes of compo so i have to hurry up! First of all thanks again for this great event, i have got a lot of fun and i learned a lot of things during this game jam.

DESCRIPTION

Suddenly, you found yourself in the dangerous snowy area and you have to reach end of the this area by defating the dangerous enemies.

This is a turn-based basic roguelike game. Every stage is generating at the runtime. I am not sure about the game balance but maybe later i can work on it for a post jam version.

HOW TO PLAY

You should pass all stages step by step. You can use WASD to MOVE and R to interact with the game. There is no any save mechanism so you have to be carefull while you are dealing with the enemies. You have a soul value. Actually soul value is representing your hit point and also your souls is your currency so you can buy upgrades with them but you have to be carefull.

CONTROLS: WASD to MOVE | R for actions

TOOLS I USED

You're right about the balance part, most specially when it comes to the later stages, the game becomes daunting because of being cornered by too many enemies. Theme-wise, it kind-off deviates from it but it is definitely average on that part.

I must praised the sprites and pixel art on this one, it is very high in quality, and I like the decision to make the enemies move one by one and not all by once because it gives off a very nice effect.

Overall, it was a very nice strategy game and a good submission, congrats!

A pretty good strategy game - easy to pick up but hard to master. I've got to admit, I didn't beat it, got stuck around level 5 because of all the enemies just being too tough to handle! It's either because my strategizing skills aren't that great or the balance is off. Or maybe both, who knows. The music isn't half bad, and so are the sprites. A pleasant experience overall!

Beautiful graphics and love the mood the snow creates. Has a lot of potential if you get the balancing perfected! Excellent job for the compo!

a classic turn-based role playing game. I think I managed to conquer the hill, so far as all enemies disappeared when I hit them enough.

Extremely challenging game, wasn't able to progress beyond 5th level or so. Even though the base game is finished (which is a huge feat btw), the balance issues make it very frustrating to play. The pixel art is simplistic but not bad at all. The best things about the game is definitely the sound design and the mood. Overall, good job on making the game!

This is very catchy. Love the concept and it fits with the theme very well! Also the music is so amazing! Really great job. Will have to come back to this as it is quite hard :)

Great visuals, love the pixel art. Music feels appropriate and sets the mood. I enjoyed the strategy, although some runs, I felt frustrated immediately by the random boards. Sometimes map 1 was easy, sometimes it felt impossible.

It would have been nice to avoid the need for a mouse click in the Map/Upgrade interface, since everything else is keyboard. Just make "Next Level" enter or space or something.

Good idea for that game, I also really like the art style. Ok with you regarding balancing (we had the same issue so i perfectly understand that), will be great to play a post game jam version ! Well done !

Nice idea and art style. It was difficult to distinguish between enimies, but that is probably me being tired, and part of fun in the game is learning your enemy.

Very cool, addicting game, also hella hard. Lack of triangulation of mevement is quite annoying, when you know you're gonna be hit. But I will still try to beat it! And the graphics is awesome.

Pretty game, clean looking sprites. Great work. Really missed not having a skip-turn button, it meant the enemies always have the advantage and all my moves are bad :D but sometimes that's just how battle works.

Fighting one enemy at once mechanic forces me to think about strategy. Good turn based game. Good graphics and audio. Attack sfx can be bit lover though.
