This is my first entry to the Ludum Dare game jam, in this case Ludum Dare 44. The game is built on a theme life is currency. In this top down arcade shooter, you have limited ammo, and have to pay for more by loseing your life. Simple. There are rules in the game but here, I'll put them in the description as well:

WASD or Arrow keys to move, space or right mouse button to shoot, click the plus next to the ammo counter to buy more.

I really liked the management. Pretty comfortable. But the audio is a bit lame =) Overall cool.

Yeah the audio is just me hitting cans with rocks and streching springs. Then I applied filters to it and called it a day. And the music! OH THE HORROR!

The music, wow! Intensity levels skyrocketed. Liked this one, although I lost my ship since you can go out of bounds with it and I kind of drifted off.

Oh yeah! There was supposed to be a system that keeps you in bounds, but it broke for some reason and I didn't have time to fix it!

Interesting take on the theme! I would suggest to add a button for buying bullets on the keyboard like e for energy(or something) that way I can keep aiming while buying bullets! I really like the background as well, looks really nice! The aesthetic really stands out here! Well done!

@wildcard Yes at first it was like that, but then I removed the button, because I thought it would be more interesting and harder, to decide when would be the right time to fill up your ammo. But in the future I might update the game, sence I really like it.

Very good use of the theme, very challenging, good particles effect and perfect physics and controls. The only take is the music is more annoying than useful. Nice job!

well atleast when you run out of ammo you can use your body to kill the mobs :D

Good game, I think your game shines on the graphics part, very smooth and clean.
However, my only criticism is that the music loops not at the right time, and kind-of gets irritating after a long period of time in the gameplay. But graphics, feel, and controls are nailed in this one. Congrats!

Wow.. Really hard... Kept expecting to fire with left mouse button, not space..

The controls are a little bit awkward (hard to move aim and shoot same time) and you cane run like Forest in some direction, but it was an interesting and difficult to feel rewarded to stay alive.
