Life is Cheap by rmleverton

[raw]
made by rmleverton for LD 44 (JAM)

Life is Cheap was made for the Ludum Dare 44 Game Jam, the topic of which was 'Your life is currency'.

This is the first game jam that I've entered and I am a rather novice programmer.

There are lots of improvements to be made, especially to the UI and UX, and balancing, and I'm sure some bugs will crop up. As a game though, there is lots of space to grow the concept and add more content.

Feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for playing!

Managed to generate some kind of a soldier-train :D This was a fun little city-builder, good job! Maybe add more difficulty to enemies and some sounds? These soldiers seem to be a little bit too op also but other than that good job!

And gratz on making it into LudumDare! (Tip: you should vote other people's games to get your game more noticed)

It took me a bit to figure out how everything is balanced (and why I was dying), but its a nice little game.

As you mentioned, the balance is a little wonky. I found that I either died within the first minute or could go on pretty much forever.

It looks like you can't rebuild on a square that got its building destroyed? Also, is there any way to direct soldiers or is it essentially placing the barracks strategically?
