Fate of the blood mercenary by IchbinkeinReh90

[raw]
made by IchbinkeinReh90 for LD 44 (JAM)

Fate of the blood mercenary is a top down dungeon crawler.

The game is playable and finished, but some features are missing. These are features that didn't make it into the game because we didn't have enough time: - Crates and Barrels - Buy weapons for blood - A bossfight with different phases - Character leaves traces of blood on the floor

Great game! Love the way the lighting is done and the dash. Could have used more attacks and enemy types. Awesome work!

This was a pretty polished little dungeon crawler! I love the lighting, and the concept is very Frankenstein. I did want to have my own showdown with the Professore, but I understand the time constraints. Good job!

Things I liked:
- The light system was very impressive so good job on that!
- Moving around with the character felt great.
- Dungeon generation seems to be good, at least what i played.

Things I would've wanted to have improved:
- Filling the rooms, it felt empty at times.

Congrats on finishing your entry for this jam! :)

That was pretty fun. The lighting is very smart. The dash was very useful because to traverse through the big dungeon.
Good job!

Really polished character controller, it felt very satisfying to dash around! I liked the mood as well. I wish there was a bit more to the attacks, though.

I'd argue this needs *more* polish, it feels a bit empty and repetitive. Neat idea though.

Good base to build off of. Some dungeon areas where a little annoying to go through; like narrow places, horizontal corridors, and needlessly maze-like pathways. I'd personally prefer bigger open rooms connected by doors.

Awesome game. Sometimes it felt a little empty, but can’t really judge that as I made a whole level of my game which was pretty much just corridors and jellybeans 😁! I recon this is a great prototype which could be improved on post LD. Would look forward to seeing that.
Congrats on a great entry 🙌

Really really great game, it made a lot of fun playing it. The map is so big! Most of the time you knew roughly where you came from, but I find it fantastic. If there were different types of enemies and a few more sprites for the leveldesign that would've been great. The music is a bit annoying, since it loops every 5 secs. The light was epic! One of the best games of the jam so far
