Enjoy! A game starting with nothing, using coins to upgrade. Keep checking the upgrade menu for new things you can afford!

Can you get to the atom bomb?

Known issues: - Bullets fired by the player can sometimes hit the player; often if you're shooting in the same direction you're running in. Health will slowly regain, so try not shooting while on low health. - Text can be hard to read, oversight on my part.

Hi, great job on making the game :) Just three things that caught my eye while playing:
- sometimes the enemies are hard to see against the background
- sometimes when you shoot the gun the bullet hits you instantly? I don't know if this is a bug or if I was doing something wrong, but either way the bullet "disappears" and you take damage
- The coin counter is super hard to read

Even though the concept is not very innovative, I loved exploring the little world you created and seeing what else I could buy. Definitely had a chuckle at the ending ;)

Very nice introduction and walkthrough. The upgrade system felt rewarding. The navigation felt really good. I wasn't always clear why I lost health. It felt like I just suddenly died. Also, I think that there wasn't any instructions for projectiles.

Trying to figure out how to use the gun I right clicked, and right click for whatever reason killed me .-. Other than that it was a fun experience.

The intro is fun.
I died because of my own bullets

It was fun to play and develop my character but I had some trouble locating enemies on the background.

Fun game. Powering up the character felt good and it was fun to explore the map. I think I died by running into my own projectile RIP.

Wait, can my bullets kill me? Maybe that's what happened! Pretty fun game. As others have pointed out, it was a bit hard to read some texts. Gameplay is fun and I like how the theme was implemented.

I think I ran into the same problem as previously commented and once I got the gun I just spammend and somehow ended up dead. Still, a fun experiecen. Maybe a little bit too easy in the beginning .. still fun!

Great entry, good take on the theme, you actually start without even seeing anything :)

Killed myself with my own gun, I wasn't even moving lol

@igoreshka Yes, I've build and added 32bit Windows. Please note, this is untested

Some issues with the gameplay, but otherwise a good entry. Movement seems to step tile-by-tile, unless you hold the movement key down, so coins next to walls are sometimes hard to get. The blue and green enemies keep their distance and eventually die on their own (I think their projectile is hitting themselves, assuming that they're supposed to shoot at the player). Took a while to realize that the melee attack's direction is pointed at the mouse's position. Also, the atom bomb... wow... Good job.

Nice game! I like the idea of Evoland as a topdown shooter :)

- Sometimes I got stuck, when trying to squeeze diagonally through narrow passages.
- Sometimes my own bullets hit seemingly me for no reason (I wasn't moving into them)

Good job! Very neat game. Some bugs here and there, like with inaccessible coins or self killing gun, but otherwise pretty good.

@evgenimp the self-killing gun is *clearly* a feature  Thanks for the feedback

Clever way to manage the theme, congrats!!!
As a 100% right handed, I find difficult to move with WASD, but I think is the best way since with my right I have to use the mouse...

Was pretty fun to play!
That ending with the atom bomb got me. I don't know what I've expected.

A couple little gripes: when picking up coins the sound is pretty delayed, seems like the coin disappears on screen long before I hear it; had some collision problems getting to a coin I could see at the beginning, between a couple trees, but couldn't squeeze through, seem to get stuck when sliding alongside some trees.

I almost died after getting enemies, because I could not find any way to hurt them, and there was no attack upgrade available (when I bought the enemies) - if it would have shown that upgrade was coming, that would have helped a lot.

Apparently the "hit yourself with your own shots" bug also affects enemies, saw a little blue guy kill himself, I think, so at least it's fair =).

Was kind of fun, although got a bit repetitive, nothing much interesting happened after I got a good attack down. Enjoyed the atom bomb =).

Nice job! I love this game very much! Just it's too easy to shoot myself with the gun.

Nice work. I like the sense of progression. The bug where you shoot yourself killed me a couple of times and it was frustrating to start over from the beginning, but aside from that, it was fun!

It's not really a bug, but it seems like you can bypass a lot of the challenge by collecting as many coins as you can before enabling enemies...

The only criticism I could offer would be that the monsters didn't stand out very much. It's not that they were hard to see, but they'd didn't draw your eye. Perhaps using lower-saturation colors for the terrain might have helped with this.

The music a nice, up-beat pace, the sound effects all made sense, and the combat was largely without fault and developed as the player makes progress.

A good game.
