I did find it annoying that the beat detection refuses to allow an early press though, so you're rewarded to being slightly behind the beat and being directly on it is risky.
The shooter part wasn't clear the first time, and I only noticed it was a thing on my second attempt. The failure screen also isn't super clear, though that might just be me missing the theme you were going for.
I had a good time playing it. Nice concept, graphics and audio.
As a drummer, I have to agree with @fireslash. I lost two times while trying to be on beat, then I find out I better be counter-time. It was an actual meditation exercise for me.
Now as for the rest of the game, it was really fun! I liked the breathing and trying to time it right; it definitely added some difficulty/complexity. The heartbeat was a little distracting, but the music/other sounds all fit very nicely. And the art, oh, it's beautiful, when the game froze at the end I enjoyed just watching the clouds pass by. And the idea itself is really nice! It fits the theme but not in the most obvious way. You've all done a great job. :)
The mechanics were challenging and I appreciated having to keep track of your breathing as you shot
Great job! :D
@jin9310 You da real mvp for noticing the cucumber :) Thank you for playing!
The controls are a bit finicky when trying to be on the beat as has been commented already.
I loved the distractions and the tongue in cheek game-over ending
I felt both relaxed and agitated, the phase just before the final obstacle was tricky with the slow breathing--I loved the challenge. Good entry!
Regardless, this was a novel concept with some funny humor thrown in. A fun jam game for sure :)
