Typewriter Monkey by Marcel Oyuela-Bonzani

A monkey hitting keys at random on a typewriter for an infinite amount of time will eventually type the complete works of William Shakespeare.

TIP: The first letter is "R".

Believe it or not you can actually beat this.

Note: Shakespeare's image doesn't seem to work on safari.

For sure, I will never have enough to time to manually randomize this ;)

Some how I feel like the librarian in the Discworld Books... except I can't get past the title.

The game felt a little in polished, but that's to be expected

couldn't figure out how to get it to work... playing WebGL in Safari. the intro text line is displayed, but nothing happens after that, despite my best slapping at the keyboard.

16 letters w/o looking anything up

~44 letters when just typing as fast as possible, stupid PROLOGUE!

So......I actually do like playing typing games and this one isn't half bad lol. I realllly like the concept of something being revealed or something happening as you're typing something out, haven't quite seen that before. I definitely got very nervous as I went further cuz punishment is so heavy, but such is the curse of typos.

I'd love to see someone write up a monkey script to play this and see how long it takes.

Ok, pick up a bunch of monkeys and put them to play your game.

It really fits the theme, quite literally, and is a nice concept, but gets easily boring. i guess it is more of an experimentation than a game. Hum, nice?

Thanks for all the comments so far everyone! Definitely more of a small experiment and silly project, it's a lot of fun seeing how far y'all have gotten and your thoughts on it.

It seems interesting, a few pieces of feedback:
1. Displaying the text onscreen would be helpful
2. Ignoring newline/whitespace would be nice
3. I like the music and gradually increasing image.
I think it could be cool if you didn't require people to look at Romeo and Juliet outside of the game

I'd be a bad monkey... It took me 10 tries to get 2nd character after initial 'R'.

And I was struggling with 'R' too. Requiring capitalization is a bit too much I think :)

Idea is awesome and original. If made a bit more 'gamey' in some fashion could be one of the top entries.
