It was hard for me to see where i am at the start of game. But dude Wolf AI is amazing it stole my sheep and it was perfect detail in my opinion. Controls are great for simple game. Nice job!

Nice game! I was terrified of wolves at first, I didn't know I could fight them. Just ran away until there were several on my tail and I was out of energy. But now they're dead and I'm alive.

I got a little confused at first because I forgot to use space but on my second try I found Mom. Cute and fun :)

This was fun, although I didn't immediately work out that you had to be carrying a kill (with E) to eat it first. What I really liked was that you had to balance the energy level of your cub with the desire to keep catching food. The addition of the trees made it interesting because they slowed you down.

Original idea! Loved that when I died the wolf picked me up and walked away with my body XD.

Nice job. Everything works and graphics are stylistic and nice! I had two issues though. Stuff on the edge of the screen seems to deload early on, I guess, unsupported screen sizes and eating wasn't intuitive at first. The "E" prompt over a corpse was hard to see and there is no notification to press "Space" to eat. Overall pretty good and functional. The end screen is great!

A wolf killed me and carried my dead body away! Good job on the ai and details. The controls need some polishing. Acceleration helps a lot with movement that feels more natural.

Oh no, I left the tab with your game open for a while and now there is a pile of dead bodies and mommy wandering around.

Thanks @cethin I will take that into consideration, fantastic feedback it is really appreciated.

@twinturbodouche I have no plans for now, but if you have ideas or would like to see certain things; I'd be happy to hear about those ideas. I wonder why you ask it! The game engine behind it will receive plenty of love.

@pfeyffer @kuviman Oh yes, I'm aware of that bug. It's a problem with the engine honestly as of now.

@pfeyffer What would you like to see on the controls improvement? More smooth animation? Cause right now I chose for this "wonky" 8 options of degrees animation on the character for artistic reasons.

Cute, but it should explain better that to eat, you first need to press E to grab a corpse, and then press spacebar.

It's not so much the animation - that works. But it does not feel like the character has any mass and just floats if it does not accelerate.

Got it @pfeyffer Thanks for your feedback. Did you notice the slowdown when you picked up a kill and walked with it?

But disregarding that, good feedback; I'll keep it in mind to give my character some more "mass" I guess, to make it feel like a being in the world it inhabits. Thank you.

@someoneman Thanks for the feedback, this response was the one I was most worried about. You're right, and I knew it. I'm sorry; I hope the game was fun to play besides that!

Nice job finishing your game! The hunger and stamina bars are pretty and creative! The game had few animations, but it was still nice to play.

Nice game the notification to say I'd won didn't show for me, after I'd found the mummy bear I wasn't sure what to do

I liked the balance of eating to moving, I was constantly trying to edge along minimum energy. The animations are neat and the meat/bear UI was very cool. Definitely the sort of thing I could idly play for a while when listening to a podcast or something.

@inventivum-games Press E on mom to win.

@bocodillo Thank you, that means so much. Art isn't my strong suit and I'm happy people appreciate that work.

@kazatan Haha, we didn't eat polar bears; wolves attacked us. But I like your interpretation. Thanks for your comment and for playing the game!

Hey, good job. I noticed I could walk faster if i attacked, which is kinda a nice discovery. I like the progression

The best part of the game is that you can eat the wolves. I quite enjoyed being a bear who seeks out sheep and wolves for consumption. :ok_hand: The art style is quite cute as well!

I like the effect of the changing seasons. It's such an efficient way of showing the passage of time.

Some parts were a little confusing, like the way you have to pick up dead animals before you can eat them, or that you have to stop moving to restore energy, but these issues only detracted from the game in the most trivial way.

This is such a sweet little story. For such a simple game, you really empathize with the little bear by the end of it.

Hey @bjeaurn,
A survival game I can actually complete, yay! The win screen was cool to reach. Relaxing and brutal at the same time. The food vs energy balance is nicely done, and works really well.
A simple change would be to up the movement speed a little (+someone above mentioned inertia/momentum).

Good game. Would be much better If you managed to add a couple sounds to it. At first I wasn't sure what this other 'bear' bar meant, but I guess it's has something to to with the mom bear?

Great story and idea! Cheers!

Thank you @ryzy27 - how far did you get into the game? The bear bar is stamina, the other is hunger.

Adorable. It didn't seem like anything else was happening after mom showed up, so I just quit it. I guess I missed something and there was a win condition after that? She was just kind of wandering and it didn't seem like she had any interactions. Oh well, it was nice few minutes!

My bad, there was no E indicator on mom indeed; hoped most people would figure that out. Mom randomly wandered off before my initial update, a tip from a viewer was to change that so mom actively searched for you too. Hope that explains it a bit! Thanks for playing!
