And appreciate all the comments lads! Lovely to see, including the feedback on what to improve!
@twinturbodouche I have no plans for now, but if you have ideas or would like to see certain things; I'd be happy to hear about those ideas. I wonder why you ask it! The game engine behind it will receive plenty of love.
@pfeyffer What would you like to see on the controls improvement? More smooth animation? Cause right now I chose for this "wonky" 8 options of degrees animation on the character for artistic reasons.
But disregarding that, good feedback; I'll keep it in mind to give my character some more "mass" I guess, to make it feel like a being in the world it inhabits. Thank you.
@bocodillo Thank you, that means so much. Art isn't my strong suit and I'm happy people appreciate that work.
@kazatan Haha, we didn't eat polar bears; wolves attacked us. But I like your interpretation. Thanks for your comment and for playing the game!
Some parts were a little confusing, like the way you have to pick up dead animals before you can eat them, or that you have to stop moving to restore energy, but these issues only detracted from the game in the most trivial way.
This is such a sweet little story. For such a simple game, you really empathize with the little bear by the end of it.
A survival game I can actually complete, yay! The win screen was cool to reach. Relaxing and brutal at the same time. The food vs energy balance is nicely done, and works really well.
A simple change would be to up the movement speed a little (+someone above mentioned inertia/momentum).
Great story and idea! Cheers!
