Flove by SpringCabal
Download, extract, and run Flove(.exe).
Good GFX card is required (preferably Nvidia).
Welcome to Flove (pronounced F-Love), in this world, you play the forces of light defending your grove filled with willow wisps. Your only defense is love, love and flowers but mostly love! Fight back the fowl corruption which seeks to destroy your tranquil grove!
Using the power of love, you will fill these dark creatures so full of light that they and their darkness will be stricken from this world!
For our project, we felt going with both themes would be fun. Our two buttons are left and right mouse buttons. Our growth can be seen as the willow wisps which provide us with mana, our constantly expanding grove, and the trees which we might upgrade!
==Mechanics==
Your flora and fauna:
Trees: Your trees can be upgraded all the way to level 3 by right clicking on them. The higher the level, the more power they give you (allowing you to shoot more often).
Wisps: These live in trees, they go through phases, blue, ice-blue and then finally, white! These guys give you MANA (used by right click)! Higher level trees produce more wisps.
Flowers: Created by right clicking on terrain. Flowers slow your enemies down and when enemies are located in it, left click (love) does additional damage.
Controls:
- Left click to love (free, it costs nothing to love!)
- - - When defending yourself from the dark attackers, fill them with love and see them vanish from the earth.
- - - Heal your trees and prevent the foul corruption from destroying them.
- Right click to grow (costs mana!)
- - - on open ground/mushrooms, you can grow fields of flowers!
- - - on the trees you can grow them larger and stronger!
Optional controls:
- Scroll to zoom
- Arrow keys to move camera
- Pause key to pause
After the tutorial stage, the game lasts about 10 minutes.
WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR! THESE CREATURES AIM TO BRING THEIR DARKNESS TO YOUR DOOR! LOVE THE HECK OUT OF EM!
Made by (alphabetically):

My finger now looks like the negative of the left mouse button.
I've felt the mana-upgrading-vegetation relation wasn't entirely obvious, and I'm not sure what the green auras did, but that didn't stop me from killing the king and saving our garden!
Wonderful job guys!
I really enjoyed the variety of the enemy waves and the overall concept.
My only nitpicks are that probably the "love gun" sound gets a little annoying after a while and that I would have loved some further visual feedback when I was hovering the trees (every once in a while I would miss them), but that's about it.
Other than the nice gameplay, I enjoyed the use of camera and the overall polish. I wonder if you're planning on further releases of this entry :)
Congratulations!
Managing defense was pretty smooth, very thrilling experience when I was trying tor recover from the suicide mushrooms. I would have liked a targeting circle to know where my shots were landing.
gg
Nice graphics and interface though. Much smoother than the last Spring game.
One of our team members has made the mistake of using a file from freesound instead of his original. The error happened when he was exporting a track in Audacity, and instead of the track he made, he exported the sound he was trying to mimic. The file in question is https://raw.githubusercontent.com/SpringCabal/LD34/master/sounds/birds.wav
Because of this we have:
1. Taken ourselves from the Audio category.
2. Made a new release that uses a different file instead. This release should now use all files created by us.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
On the upside, we've made an experimental Mac build. It probably has issues, but at least you can try it now.
To respond to a few people:
@ashdnazg: Agreed, it's not that clear in-game. Added the description in the game page at least.
@LostTrainDude: Indeed, perhaps the trees could be highlighted when you mouse over them. A bit unsure on future versions, we may make some changes later on but I doubt there'll be anything major.
@oz2mura: Yep, more feedback would be good.
really wish comments could be edited
I fully agree with your comments, this is the sort of impression we have too.
