So, I'm sorry that this doesn't look very good, I spent entirely too long on developing the control & weapon systems. The assets are just free unity assets. Music is from : https://www.purple-planet.com

Anyway, enjoy David and Goliaths, and make sure to post your highest wave! Controls are explained at the start of the game.

oh what a neat music. The gameplay controls take a little bit of time to get used to, they might be a little too strange compared to other games, so a little bit of too much learning curve. I managed to hit few enemies while that horror music was playing on the background.

This could be a nice mobile game :D

It seems that on my browser all I get is a black background with a green character. The music is great, though! Very creepy. Let me know if you'd like error logs or system specs or something.

@fictions Thanks, that was kind of the test for myself, to make something that could fit similarly into the same genre as Archero. @tero-pulkkinen yeah, the goal was to make the controls more "mobiley". I side-loaded it onto my phone and it becomes a lot more intuitive that way. Thanks for playing!

Good atomsphere made by music. I don't know why the rocks does not flying to right direction as my expectation.

@geoff-nagy What browser were you using? I may adda stand-alone if it continues to be a problem.

@justuspan It takes some getting used to since the controls aren't conventional pc controls. Once you do (unless you panic lol), you can get pretty good.

Fun stuff, like the control scheme. An alternate control scheme could be just click to release the rock in the tangent direction (Though that'd probably make it too easy).
Since I couldn't tell when the rock was going to go back into my arsenal, sometimes I would be trying to throw the diamond and end up throwing the rock instead because it spawned in front.

Honestly I'm super impressed you were able to come up w a unique core gameplay system and have it be this fun. It really shines once you get more than the rock because now you're making quick angle decisions based on what you want to use at the time, and the radius is big enough that your angle choice makes a drastic difference so I found it really engaging at all times. If mobile-port it could work as is, but if a pc adaptation you could have movement which would REALLY lift the skill ceiling cuz now you're adding your positioning into the mix. Great core system w lots of room to grow!

The combat system that you made is definitely really unique. It's a little harder to get used to, but once I had a few items I found it starting to be a bit easier. Would be a cool mobile game like other people were saying.

played a little more. oh DEAR that boss at level 4, is that even possible to beat? I just got a nonstop faceful of rock. I thought of something else while playing. Once you get 4 weapons it's very tempting to spam and I think the game loses a lot of its goodness there. Consider a combo mechanic in the future where you do bonus dmg. That may be a way for people to pick their shots more carefully cuz it's super satisfying to nail those long range, awkward angle (90 deg) shots.

@peachtreeoath I’ll admit I could probably afford to tune down his speed and damage lol It is actually very easy if you keep from losing health and get one of the two swords, since he actually only has 100 health, thanks!

Neat! felt a little weird controlling it with swipes though

Interesting and creative idea! Took me a while to understand how to swipe, but I got better at it after a while. You could maybe have made shorter levels as it gets a bit boring with 40-80 enemies and not so much else happening. I gave up before finishing level 4 as it didn't feel worth it.

@weine Yeah, I spent alot of time on the mechanics so I had no time to balance the waves lol so I just doubled the last amount each time, there is alot that I wanted to do but didn't have time for since I worked solo, thanks for playing.

It's very hard to play on a PC... but game is nice!

So very interesting idea, the weapon is certainly not very conventional. My main issue is that the rock gets thrown in very weird directions. It doesn't follow physics or the mouse direction, so I couldn't predict where was it gonna go.

The game looks alright, even though a more third person perspective would have look better since the models were so nice. The mood of the game is certainly kinda creepy, fitting for a cave.

ITS nice but it took me some time to know what to do

Nice concept, the fact that the object are rotating around you make the aiming tricky but it's a good thing. However, the game feels a bit slow. Anyway, good job!
