Jam Cultist Simulator is a timed puzzle game inspired on the Cultist Simulator videogame about making a game in 48h for a game jam.

If you've played Cultist Simulator, the gameplay works in a similar fashion. Use the cards with the correct tokens to work towards making the best posible game and uploading before the game jam ends.

Each token needs a type of card to work, and after a short time, returns a card of a different type. The "Think" token can be used without a card to generate new idea cards.

A fun take on cultist simulator mechanics! If I hadn't played cultist sim before, I woulda been really lost. As it is, it's pretty decent.

Nice game! It was fun, figuring out, what to do :)

It seems that generating ideas is the bottlenck. I don't know, if it fits the game/genre, but I would have liked some form of automation.

Fun one! very frantic
Much like game jams, you get better and better with each round you do.

Nice take on cultist simulator!!! Very meta game!
Excellent minimalistic graphics.
A very nice card - board game and an excellent entry in this LD.
Please make a WEB export (you are using Unity after all) so people can easily play and rate your game!!

After 15 minutes I finally got a decent score. Good game, very addictive to get that final score.

Cool concept! I love the more meta jam games. I haven't played Cultist Simulator so it took me a bit to understand what the interactions were - I was a little confused at first about where to drag the tokens (I assumed you needed the window open and to drag onto the slot rather than the card itself) and what was what. Once I got into it the multitasking was fun though. Nice work!

Didnt see this game here before, its very similar to one of the other games I rated here

Ah nvm, after I played it, it has different mechanics, its only similar in concept. I really liked the game, got 9.3 overall after lots of tries.

The art is beautiful, the gact that icons change their color is very neat and looks cool, gameplay kept you in your full attention, I wish there would be any kind of music and sound though1

It is very convenient when categories are highlighted. Well, in general, it was nice to play).

Pretty good, I love the Cultist Simulator so I didn't have any issues with experimenting here. It does suffer from the same lack of automation as the original cultist simulator (generating new ideas is just a grind for example)

The theme lends itself really, really well to this type of game

I got an 8.7 game and decided to stop at that. The artwork was very nice and there was an addictive quality to beat the score. Would have loved some sound effects or music, but since it is a Compo game I can understand not having those.

Edit: What I forgot. This game reflects the stress at a gamejam really well. :D

This is overall a really good combo game. I would have liked some music, and the gameplay could have been made a bit more smooth, but none of this is a big issue for a combo game. Well done.
