I didn't make the music, I wish I did haha. But I'll address the scaling issue ASAP in the new build, I noticed that the death screen also doesnt scale at all. And I'll work on the visual feedback, would you find healthbars annoying to have in a game like this one?
I feel like the only level with substantial strategy was the fourth level though, and the rest were pretty easy, the last level was just, which army do you pick?
Even still, it was very satisfying seeing my army take over, and I like the look of the game quite a bit. Overall great job!
Great job!
@tyfus Oh interesting, the sprites do that already, even the player. But I'll make it more apparent, add some sound effect to it and maybe some screenshake! Thank you for the feedback
@abdul-zakkar Thanks a lot for playing and the feedback! Yeah sorry about that, most levels were made in a rush near the end of the jam, I didn't have time to playtest them extensively. But I'm glad that you enjoyed it nontheless!
@nobongo Thank you! I'm glad that it at least seems to fit in with the theme, I had my doubts. Haha thanks for the kinds words. It's good to hear that you had fun and liked it! I will surely add some more animations and improve the pathing (it's so bad at the moment).
Cool entry :p
Buuut if I had something to say. hum... It was fun to see the undead take over the city, but I felt a bit useless once I pressed that spacebar. While you do have commands to spread out/get the attention of your nearby troups, I felt that it's often better to let your squeletons do their life and just hide :cat: . (but that's maybe because the levels are, like @abdul-zakkar said, for now pretty easy ^^)
I think the golden knights in the last battle should be less to make the fight fairer, or add more in the other army! Just for more pleasure >:D
The carefully placed crowds cause you to properly infiltrate the people before unleashing your wrath if you really want a big mob to start with. This creates a great atmosphere as you stroll into town hooded and cloaked watching the children run happily in the road, thinking "if only they knew". I rate this game ARMAGEDDON/10
You may want to give the player a super short tutorial and introduce them to a few mob types upfront to encourage them to clear levels and progress. There is depth here!
Those huge minions were terrifying though *slam intensifies*
You deserve wayyyy more ratings on such a good game!! :joy:
### Edit
Why'd you remove the music category? Your igm is rad as well, that's what adds to the game itself!
But that's a full 5 stars from me! :thumbsup_tone4:
@yohsk13 Thanks for playing! Yeah I totally get what you mean, the player originally had an auto attack and a heal ability, but I didn't manage to finish it :/ Would be fun to add something like that still possibly! Thanks for taking the time to play and give feedback :)
@kajoseh Haha thank you for playing! The balancing is lacking severly in some levels, I really should make them less powerful (or just remove some)
@bradleyashley Woo thanks for writing such a detailed review! A tutorial would be a great addition, I'm not sure whether I'd continue with this game though, but otherwise the feedback is noted! :D
@solah Thanks!
@wekaj I'm glad you liked it, gotta say that the sudden change took a little while haha
@kleinzach It's great to hear that you enjoyed it! I guess it is some sort of a puzzle/strategy game at its core :P never thought about it that way. Agreed, the levels are not really balanced well, I'd love to tackle that with all the feedback I've gotten! Thanks!
@itsdanidre Haha thanks for lovely review! I'm glad you liked it. I didn't make the music, so I opted out of it :) Thanks for the rating man!
