Have you ever dreamt to play a unique Carpenter's life? By creating your own house and sliding an infinite slope on your little smooth plump butt?

Harvest some materials in the wood with his unique butt sliding technique. He may use these to build the dwelling of his dreams and to have the best place to rest ever.

The game runs in two phases. First, we made a resting space where you can contemplate the view of the carpenter's house and its evolution as you go along the game. Then come a very punchy runner game where you can collect resources and stuff, avoid obstacles and BLOW UP EVERYTHING IN YOUR WAY LIKE A WRECKING BALL!!! (yeah, told ya, it's a unique technique guys  the legend says he was Miley Cyrus' coach)

As you play, you will have to run several games to collect enough materials and upgrade your house to make it at your image: sweet and cozy.

Now, take a quick look to our screenshots and let's play the game!! Don't forget to share your best score, to see if you're more badass than an on-drugs game dev, playing almost 3000 games a day to make this game :stuckouttonguewinkingeye:

Have fun!

Fantastic game! The graphics were absolutely stunning, and the music was both good and appropriate. I found my head bopping along as I raced, which is always a good sign. I like that you had a cute story to go along with it as well. Picking up items and getting boosts/power-ups was extremely satisfying.

The game ran great; no gameplay issues. The controls were a little rough for me, with the speed of the racing (I found that when I needed to zig left or right, that the acceleration to get going was a little bit too sluggish. And then, when I DID get going, I often flew further than I wanted).

Good job! I can tell a lot of work went into this one.

The game is pretty funny to play, has nice graphics and the sounds are entertaining. I think it would be a little more fun, if you could see when you get a house upgrade and buy them yourself, making the main menu more interactive :)

Heyoo! Great job, congratulations for the team!! The aesthetics, sound design and the runner are very well designed! I accessed some old memories, when I did play the runner level in Crash Bandicoot for Playstation 1. I really enjoyed to play this game, it's in my list of top 3 in this game jam. Your game did fill my brain with a marvelous substance called dopamine! Amazing! And... Oh! Is there anything I can do with the collectable items?

Here is my best score! I bet there isn't anyone who can beat it 8)

It's fun to play your game, thanks) I like soundtrack and this low-poly graphics and that all your progress get saved after you exit. Seriously, I closed the application and then opened to play again and it was cool to see my bed and the wardrobe on their places. You should teach your guy to jump, it would be more dynamic, like Sonic, you know)

Usually I suck at runner games but I did OK at this one, so you balanced it just right! Loved the pixelart/voxely art assets. I really liked the idea of using the resources from the runner to build up the house, I think that idea could be expanded upon if you were to develop this further.

That guy must have an iron butt... Very addictive, the music is rad! I couldn't really find a connection to the theme, though. Mostly, because I couldn't spent the resources for anything.

Hey all, thank you for your comments, we really appreciate them!

We understand that some points can be unclear, especially around the "build your house" gameplay, so here is some explanation:

Gathering resources when sliding downhill allows you to improve your home. Your house is built automatically when you visit it, based on how much resources you possess. The more resources, the more pleaseant and cozy your home will be! And of course, you start with nothing.

Hope this helps some of you :)

I love how "juicy" this game is. I think one thing this game can benefit from is having some indication of how much resources you need to unlock the next phase of your house.

I was pleasantly surprised by the runner aspect. I think being able to choose what you use resources for would have been nice, from what I can see it's hidden and when you hit the resource value it adds it to the house. It's well made.

The game is fantastic! I love the vocel art and challenging level filled with tons of different small details! What a fantastic work you've done! I find inertia in side movements a bit hard to control, but, oh well, it's understandable that you will have some intertia if you slide on your butt through the level :)

Du housing dans une game jam :open_mouth:

Vraiment super cool! L'ambiance est chouette et CE MODZIT CANARD !!

J'ai mis un peu de temps à voir les flèches boost au sol, peut-être trouver une broutille pour les rendre plus visible?

Bravo à toute l'équipe

sweeeet voxels folks! There is a fire animation along the way that was particularly well done, I am not good in this kind of game so could not go too far with it, loved the part where you go through a log though

This was interesting. At first I didn't knew that you can break objects, but when I figured it out it was really fun! If there was only something to indicate how long I'm going to spin.

Pretty funny haha. Oh, I see that you've opted out of Audio here -- I was gonna say shoutouts to whoever produced the main music track here -- the bitcrushed drums, bassline, and pitch slides all come together to make something really fun! You may want to credit the original author of the track somewhere in your description though...=/

The pitch modulation whenever you hit a boost arrow was an interesting effect, I can't tell if I like it or not but I think it.....sort of works out especially considering the backing saw pads which kind of give it that analog warmth? not really sure.

Wish there was a little more to the gameplay here, but even then, it's pretty enjoyable. Honestly the music alone makes you want to keep sliding down that infinite hill haha.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. We added credits to the sliding music author on the Itch.io page. The rest of the credits are from various sound banks on the Unity Asset store

The graphics are very nice, although a bit confusing as I'm not always sure what's an obstacle that kills me or what's just decoration(mushrooms for example).

The collision is wonky somewhere, I was able to slide across water a couple of times. The controls sometimes feel like they are not listening to me, but that's very hard to nail down so I won't hold it against you, just giving it as feedback.

Overall, the game is pretty good.

Looking neat! Nice graphics, nice music. The controls need some tweaking though and sometimes the obstacles are really tigh together so it's almost impossible to pass at that speed. But overall - I like it :)

I loved the graphics, but it seemed some of the generation was a bit laggy for me, though that wasn't much of an issue. What made the game unesseceraly harder is the "slidey" movement when you collect materials.

In my opinion you could have removed the building part as the whole game is pretty much collecting the materials.

Overall a good entry, i wish you best of luck for all your next games as well.

Really loved this one! :D Both UI & voxel graphics look great. Audio is nice, too. I love how the speed increases gradually, making it harder and harder. Great job! :D
