Mushroom Exorcist by krjack

[raw]
made by krjack for Ludum Dare 45 (JAM)

screenshot000.png

This is our first time participating in Ludum Dare. In this game you are a brave girl whose goal is to kill the Wolf demon living in a forest. In the beginning, you have nothing. To kill the Wolf, you need to collect magical mushrooms and insert them into artifacts, 3 mushrooms for every artifact. After activating all the artifacts, all you need to do is to trap the Wolf between artifacts. Beware, if the Wolf hits you, you die! Press 'E' to collect mushrooms and insert them into artifacts. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to finish the game, but we hope you will enjoy it nevertheless!

Update: higher quality build

Pretty Spooky! Sometimes the trees got in the way and it was a little annoying.

I really loved the art in this game, and I thought it had a great feel. I had some trouble at the end finding the wolf to trap him, and I gave up after a few minutes of traversing the map. The fixed camera with the trees also made the game a little difficult.

Love the princess! Movement is a bit tedious.

Graphics are very good. The sway of the trees added a lot to the mood. Forced perspective made it challenging to see the wolf but added to the suspense. I think the wolf ran into the runes at the end and disappeared, but I wasn't 100% sure I had beaten it. Great first game!

Great graphics. Nice movement and I like the feel of the wolf head searching around.

Movement is a bit slow, but the wolf head is nice. Gives a feeling of unease, knowing that it's lurking around.

Nice game, really liked the graphics. Especially, how the player is in 2D, in a 3D world. It reminds me of Octopath Traveller. The concept is pretty simple, it's a shame that there is no ending screen, but nice. A bit slow when moving in diagional, but nice first game

Not bad, but where are sounds? It's a pretty good result for only 2 days of development, but without sounds and music I can't judge it as could :p

Little red riding hood with mushrooms. Cool idea! Art is nicely done. One thing I wished was it would be nice if there were some sounds.

I'll always commend jammers for making a 3D game in a few days! The wolf in particular looked pretty cool.

@loudlout @michael-k-im Thanks for your feedback! We planned to add music and sounds, but due to bad time management we barely managed to implement core mechanics =) We'll continue development and update the game after the voting period ends.

Well, it was definitely fun, but if we talk about this particular game, it would bring most of all pleasure if the camera was from a third person. I advise you to take this wish. But still, this is a ridiculous concept and it was fun to play. Good luck in developing).
