Blop Security by vsquitiro

[raw]
made by vsquitiro for Ludum Dare 45 (JAM)

You're a security guard and your entire system just went down! Build it back up from nothing and figure out who the intruders are! Also, everyone is a blob. (We didn't quite finish, so there are no actual intruders yet, but for now you can play around with some of the security system settings and enjoy Rory's art and sound!)

Chris, Rory, and I have been working on our game for the past few days! Don't think we'll quite be able to finish by the time we have to submit it, but it was a lot of fun!![Blob Security System.png](///raw/c1d/82/z/26b88.png)

I LOVED IT SO MUCH! The aesthetic is amazing and what a nice interface (I was a little bamboozled at first..spent too much time trying to put admin/123 until figuring it out hahaha). The repair mechanic sure would make it more compelling but it already shows a lot of potential. Hope to see it complete :D

Shows a lot of promise! There may not much be functional gameplay here, but what is here has me interested! Would be interested in seeing a post-jam completed version.

It's a very nice system. I am not sure if there was something wrong but it stopped letting me switch between the three tabs when I was near full system repair. I could open the folder but nothing else seemed to work.

took a while for my small brain to get use to it but it is a very good game. A loved the music and the little blops themselves. It shows great potential and I hope to see more about it soon!

there could be some easter eggs like this being an acceptable solution to it in the future

Thanks for all the feedback, everyone! We're going to attend to some things that piled up during the marathon, but we plan on getting back and finishing the game as soon as possible!

I wasn't sure how to get past the login screen? I actually resorted to looking it up in the code, but when I entered the right username and password, the chrome tab crashed. Looks like an interesting start from your screenshot though!

Wow, thank you so much everyone for giving our little proto-type a spin! We poured our hearts into it. @aden, thanks for pushing us over the edge! @kevinworkman, sorry about that. Haven't heard about the crashing yet, we'll work on polishing it up when we finish the game.

Interesting implementation! I couldn’t log in for a long time ... And at the end, after filling in the green scale at the bottom, the game freezed. But overall I liked it)

Ah, there was a little glitch with the system bar that I tried to fix right before we submitted it, must've missed something. By that point you've seen all the game has to offer so far, eventually one of the blobs will be an intruder and you'll have to deduce which one, but for now they're all just hardworking upstanding blobs!

Don't read if you'd like to figure out for yourself how to find the username and password but at @pierallard 's request, there's a second page of reports. If you look closely you'll see how to access it!

I love the art and think the game is really unique, it's a little light on gameplay, but that's the nature of making a game in such a short time (as we found out), so it's fine.

Nice music Rory, it goes with the aesthetic which I think is really cute. I like the character design of the blob(s). I could tell that with some extra time this would have gone in a great direction, but what you have is great too

This was fantastic. I think I managed to soft lock myself in a menu, but I really enjoyed the aesthetic and thought that went into this, especially where the theme is concerned. Start with nothing is a perfect place for a Mystery Puzzle game like this. Managed to get the DB and System Repair to full before the game locked up. Really great entry!

Cute game! I really like the vibe overall and it has really cool music and art. Took me a bit to figure out how to login haha, but the security settings functioned smoothly. I'd love to check it out again when it's finished. Great work!

This looks great! So far all I had to do was restore the system 1% at a time so I could use the rest of the computer. But I would like to see where you guys are heading with this, interesting concept.
