I love the game! To be honest so far I'm pretty bad at it, but I'm definitely learning and getting good at passing the first few obstacles. The rolling animation looks really smooth and the graphics is very on point. Could maybe put some music playing in the back? Oh also, I love the fact that the player falls to the ground at the beginning, but the falling sound was a bit too loud and since there were no other sounds played before it, it kind of surprised and hurt my ears a little bit. With that fixed I think this is very well done. Good job!

Fantastic game! Proves that games don't need to be complex to be fun.

My only suggestion: On gamepad, make the dodge button go in the direction of the current movement, not in the aiming direction.

Great game! I wish I knew rolling and attacking used the same stamina bar when starting off since I would probably have upgraded stamina over health if I knew that.

The graphics are really good and I think the game would be amazing with some music!

Super fun! I agree that the roll being controllled by the second stick felt a bit awkward at first but I got used to it after a bit. Bosses were simple but cool and overall you pushed the polish very high. Nice job ^^

This is the first game where i gave a 5 in graphics! The game is beautiful! But the mechanics arent perfect.

The graphics are lovely!

The game itself though feels a bit too difficult. Making the roll a bit longer would go a long way toward making this more approachable. This is an easy trap to fall into during LD, getting friends to playtest at certain intervals is super helpful on that front. When in doubt, for LD make it too easy.

I gave it four shots and only made it to the sawblades once.

Loved the game, looks gorgeous you really nailed your look. was exciting to see the saw blades climb up the thing with each level. weird controls but i felt like it was kinda fun to figure them out and made it feel more unique. still pretty loud for me

great game! very fun. reminds me of enter the gungeon. i know this has been said before, but i think that dodging should go in the direction of movement, but other than that it's an amazing game.

Great game. Took me a while to figure out I could dodge over the obstacles in the first level but once I did, I had a blast playing it.
The difficulty ramp-up is very well done and I felt like I was getting better and better and not just winning by luck. Controls very responsive and controlling the character is very easy.
Graphics very cute and pretty.
Good job!
(I wish there were more levels, I want to play more :D )

Doesn't work with Firefox nor Edge. Chrome was ok.
Pretty interesting concept and nice graphics, but the single-sound effect makes the gameplay a bit confusing, as the dodge animation is fast (as expected) so it's not always clear if you hit or got hit. Would also have benefited from some form of background music.
Game is hard without being unforgiving, good balance.

The art is nice and cohesive, it all lives in the same world. It is a good idea and quite difficult.

Woow It feels so polished and everythings works so well. Speaking about well, yeah it's hard but feels good to be beat up and learn from it, the sequences of obstacles and enemy pattern. The only thing that made me confused was the dodge direction. I kept thinking I was dodging at the walk direction and not the mouse. Other than that, it is amazing, a piece of art

Easy to pick up and play, controls worked well (I used mouse and keyboard). Only one problem with the theme... you start with a dodge :spy: hehe, j/k It's fine! Good work, and props for being one of the few to use godot!

You've made some beautiful graphics here! The controls were tight, but I did feel like I wanted to dodge in direction I was walking, not in direction I was aiming at first. I agree that the audio could maybe be mixed up a bit with you being hit or you hitting things. Nice game :)

I'd love to play more of this game. The last level actually felt quite a bit easier than the one before it. I think because I kept getting stopped everytime I tried to shoot enemies, and I had to keep close to these things dashing towards me. Second time around it all felt rather easy.

The art is absolutely beautiful. While I wish there was a bit more audio, it almost fit better with the clean aesthetic without it.

Amazing game. I probably would want to spend money on a full release. There is a lot potential in this project.

Fantastic job! Nothing bad to say about this other than it was too short, but that's just because I wanted more. Finished in 296 seconds the first time (Balanced Mode), 281 on Glass (3h/5s). Well done!

I really liked the game. The concept is good. I like the fact that you start with only the movement and the dodge and that you gain the attack. This is well-aligned with the jam theme so good job with that. Regarding mechanics, you can move, dodge and attack. All you need for a good combat game. I really like the dodge the animation is really fluid and it just feels great. The attack range feels a bit low for me but I think it's more a design decision. About the level design, in the 1st room, you have a sequence that reminds me a bit of undertale combat. Because you only have to dodge a series of attacks. I really enjoy this part It was a great challenge. On the 2nd room, you have a more classic enemy approach. I liked this stage as well but here I think you should try to communicate the enemy health a bit better this is mainly because you need 2 attacks to low 1 hp on the enemy. I suggest a better visual clue because for me it was a bit confusing. The art style is great, I liked the pixel art it is super consistent. I love the fact that the UI is also is pixel art. I also have a suggestion regarding the SFX, for me, it was a bit confusing to have the same sound for player damage and enemy damage. Sometimes I was like "did I get hit?", if it was different it would be more clear for the player.
Overall I really like the game, it feels super polished and its very fun to play. The major complaint I have is that I wanted to play more XD so, really great job!

Very good game. Well done ! :) I wish there was a music and some sound effects in the menus.

As others said, graphics are beautiful and gameplay is quite smooth. I also was a bit confused by the sound effect played when someone takes damage. It's difficult to know if you hit the enemy, or if you were hit.

Interesting game in a cool setting that I would love to learn more about. Controls got a little messy when I needed to shoot in one direction and dodge in the other. Last level felt a bit unbalanced and too easy. I had a few minutes of fun, which is the most important!
