Little Big Plant by Bmxchamp4

DISCLAIMER: GAME UNFINISHED, RAN OUT OF TIME BUT HAVE FUN ANYWAY!

This is my very first LD and t be honest I am a little disappointed. I ran into a series of issues that came up and cost me valuable time. That mixed with the fact that I am no artist means the game is full of programmer art.

As stated I ran out of time, and am submitting this form work. So there are no sound effects nor music. The art is all placeholder prototype art so bear with me. All in all I still had a blast and can't wait for the next LD. By then I should have a willing artist to help me out.

In Little Big Plant, you play as a plant that is constantly shriveling. Collect rainwater to stay alive and grow. But be careful, too much water can be deadly! Your decay rate will increase the more rain you collect.

Whenever possible try to get into the sunlight! It will reset your decay rate and your plant will not decay while in the sunlight.

Use A and D to move right and left. This game is by no means finished but I swore I'd submit an entry so here it is! Have fun! There isn't much feedback to leave since it's unfinished, however any and all feedback is still welcome!

Known Issues:
- Plant can continue off screen and fall off level (whoops... forgot to fix that, need better TODO list next time)

Fun game, would have liked to see a score mechanic! The art wasn't bad, and if it was yours, you should consider making it available as a rating category.

Cool game but seems a little bit of empty something like highscore system and a music would do

Don't be upset, just do your groundwork before competition as much as you can, and it will work like a charm during the event ;-) LD is not about learning programming and art, there are a lot of challenges besides that :-)

It's the start of something interesting. Always frustrating to run out of time on these things, but well done on getting something uploaded.
