I don't know how this game works. Really weird. Am I suppose to hover on that blocks ?

yep @baski you have to hover over both the left and right and the farther you get to the right the more points you get!

Only thing is that I wish the 2 blocks were farther apart so that you cant spam across the spam gap with the mouse and have to only worry about the platforming. Also wish the spikes worked too. It was an interesting game though that took a bit to figure out.

This game was incredibly tough to learn. There was so many colours, and since the different hover options were coloured, I assumed that the button colours somehow corresponded to the platforms. Also, you taught the hover mechanic in game, but didn't mention any keyboard controls, so I thought that the mouse was the only control. Could you please improve the tutorial on this page, because it didn't really help. Once I did figure it out though, I got reasonably far, shame that the leaderboard doesn't work on web.

PS, I loved the options screen, that alone earned you some humour score!

Thank you for playing @sirred and @justcamh! I will definitely try and make the tutorial in this page more clear @justcamh :)

And yes I got a few lols from the options. I didn't have time to implement it LOL

I liked the game.

I didn't unsderstood the explanations on the page before launching the game (I was :"what is a dropper ?") but everything became clear when I launched it... in easy mode :p.
I won about 100 points before trying the normal mode, and it is great  (even if, as I'm really bad at platformer, well... I'm getting about 50-70 points before dying)

As for the hardest difficulty  I'm phasing through the side of the platforms so I ended up winning more points than in normal dificulty :p

Good game :)

<*read about the option menu, launch the game again*> oh xd

It took me a while to figure out how this works. Hovering with the mouse on the tiles felt unnatural. For some reason, I expect such type of game to play only with the keyboard ... Interesting way to break a "habit".

Congrats for the entry

@yohsk13 Thanks for the rating! And LOL yeah the harder difficulty has problems with the platforms :P I should've added a death event if u get kicked off screen.

Thanks so much @oune. And yeah we wanted to try something different :) Thanks for playing!

I found a bit tough to learn. Had to think about so many things. Had fun trying though

Toke me a little bit to understand that I had to use the actual squares, not the pieces with the same colors but it was nice once I figured it out! Interesting mechanics, well done :)

I like the title and the idea i think the game could be a bit longer but overall fun to play!

Thank you for your feedback. @monish-vyas It definitely is a hard game and I knew it was going to be harder for the average person pretty early in development, but was too far in to change anything. @yomissmar I can see how that could've been more clear, and thanks for the kind words! :) @xotsu I'm not sure how we could've made it "longer" when going with an infinite runner type game. But thank you for your kind words :)

Pretty decent platformer, though Unity's default physics make things feel a little weird. It'd help if the tutorial made more sense, I died a few times before figuring it out. Maybe say something like 'Hover over the red block to stop the falling block from destroying platforms, hover over the blue block to stop the platforms from phasing out.' Also the spikes on the platforms don't seem to do anything. Nice job implementing a scoreboard during a jam, even though the web build doesn't support it.

@cdunham Yup for some reason the spike code never worked and I didn't have time to fix it. Yeah unity's default rigidbody system is pretty bad for satisfying controls. I applied velocity directly instead of using AddForce but that still seemed to be bottle-necked by the awful default rigidbody tunage. I also didn't have time for a nice tutorial as we added gameplay in the last few hours. Our other programmer, Dave, had no prior experience with unity so it was hard to organize things. Thanks for the review and thank you for your input :)

Pretty interesting conceptually. Had a glitch the second time I tried where I couldn't jump at all but not sure what caused it. Would be interesting to see where you could take it with more time.

The clickable tiles would be better if they looked more like buttons. The first time I played, I thought they were just more platforms and tried to jump on them.

Pretty good concept here. Good idea to have added a leaderboard since it is quite challenging. Good job!

Thank you for your kind words @solah and @roka-josh! :)

@thevideogamester Ah yes the ground check was a bit glitchy and would sometimes cause you to not be able to jump if the collider was not labled correctly. Not sure where we will go with this TBH but thank you!

Great little game, well done team! It took me a few tries to figure out what the controls were at first, but after the third go I managed to get quite the high score! Audio and visuals were great, had no idea how the eye patch man related to the world, but I found him funny either way!

I'm H_Media on the leaderboard!
