Prepare For MetaSpace - In Beautiful CD-Quality Full Motion Video

Come relive the days of tiny videos and huge genesis addons! You've crash landed on a bizarre alien planet, swarming with strange characters and terrifying alien beasts, and you need to escape using only your wits and friends you meet along the way!

Watch out, however - the escape might not be as straight-forward as you might hope!

We had to cut out a large number of scenes due to time constrains, if people like this we may upload a more finished version (not entered into this contest of course) with all the intended shots.

Note - Some images were taken off of google at the very last minute, although most have been edited in some way. We made attempts to get royalty free images and consider the costumes and acting to be the primary 'Graphics' of this project and so we are not opting out of the graphics category.

Putting together an adventure in this short a time is amazing.
Also nice costumes and acting.

Hilarious game. Y'all should audition for Hollywood. On the real, totally did not expect to see any live action inside of a game jam entry but happy to see it.

Very in depth for the amount of time. I liked the multiple ways you could die. Wish that it was longer, but it is a jam. Made me laugh a few times too. There was some weird audio sometimes that was loud from it being a new clip or something, but that was the only negative.

Gotta say this is the first FMV ludum dare entry I've ever seen! Huge props for attempting such a thing :D The lack of editing & general jankiness on some video sections was kinda goofy but honestly pretty endearing, and there were a lot of legit funny parts too. Gameplay-wise I would've like a little more direction at the beginning of the game but I suppose randomly trying a bunch of baffling stuff is a hallmark of these kinds of games. Felt a bit trial-and-errory at times but once I started to make some progress I didn't get any more game overs thankfully. (saving would be nice!) Still it was pretty fun to figure out and an enjoyable experience, nice work!

I'm just in awe of the level of commitment it required, the terrible acting, the props, the green screening. It all combines to this game that is so bad that it is amazing. Brilliant job, I was laughing every second.

Like another poster mentioned I found the lack of editing and jank to be kind of endearing and funny. Can`t say I`ve every seen a jam game like this in my life! Seems like a crazy amount of work to fit into a weekend.

Kudos!

Really cool idea, I live it when some people put this much effort into a jam entry!

When I first saw the preview of this game I didn't want to play it. But I'm sure glad I did, that's genius! I finished the whole thing in about 5 attempts. I love the idea of live characters in game! Amazing, good job :)
I'm not sure what the gun is for though, I collected it using the Android and it was never used afterwards...

This was a really fun game. I was blown away by the fact that you guys had live acting. Like, live acting! The humor was great as well, and overall it was pretty darn sweet.

My only complaint though, the fact that I messed up halfway through and had to start all over was a lil off putting.

Other than that, utterly fantastic

@alexfsmirnov oh the gun? It does... nothing!! We HARD ran out of time and had to cut quite a few scenes, the gun doing nothing being the weirdest quirk of that fact
