Planet Cutlet by ivananovakova
A game for 2 players.
Goal of the game: 1. Assemble your planet out of individual Pieces. /Core+Mantle+Crust+Atmosphere/ 2. Fill in the biosphere with Object cards. 3. Halt the progress of your opponent’s planet using Damage cards. 4. Game ends after a player reaches 25 points.
Game pieces placement: 1. Both players have their planet board in front of them. 2. Players place Piece cards, Object cards and Attack cards in between each other. 3. Object cards are placed with text upwards (player can choose). 4. Attack cards are placed with text downwards (player takes them blindly). 5. Cards have their values, costs and abilities, that the player gains after purchasing that card.
Game mechanics: 1. Players randomly draw their planet Cores and place them onto their empty Planet board. 2. Players roll one dice, higher number goes first. 3. Player that goes first takes the two elements that their Core generates at the start of EVERY ROUND. 4. Player rolls both dice simultaneously - pink dice indicates number of the group on the Periodic table - black dice indicates the amount of elements he can take this round from the selected group. 5. If the pink dice rolls a 6, the player can choose whichever group he wants to take elements from. 6. Players can trade with the Periodic box of elements by handing in 4 of the same element for 1 element of his choosing from the box. 7. Players can also trade with each other. They negotiate the rate between themselves. (They can only trade elements) 8. The players MUST firstly build their planet /Core+Mantle+Crust+Atmosphere/, they can choose any Pieces. After that they can start filling it with Objects. The choice of objects is limited by the type of your planet’s Crust. This limitation is also highlighted directly on the Object cards. 9. Every round the player can buy maximum of 2 cards! 10. Damage cards can be bought with special element Ra (x4) and 1 element of their choosing. All Damage cards cost the same. Players cannot choose their Damage cards (they take them from the top of the deck). These cards don’t have to be revealed or used right away, unless stated otherwise. Damage cards are defined by a name and a list of Objects affected (destroyed), alternatively by a more detailed description. Destroyed Objects are returned to the pool, where they can be bought again. 11. If a player can’t purchase anything or doesn’t want to, his round ends and it’s the opponent’s turn.
