This is my second Ludum Dare game ever.

It was coded from scratch in Java. I hope you like it :) If you have Java version mismatch error, that is because I used Java 8 update 211

Really Cool, Love how accurate the trending sections are to real life lol. Found the interface very intuitive and i'm very fond of the recording animation. Great Job.

Im surprised you dont have a humour voting category, I really laughed at the comments and nicknames. Great entry.

Bonus points for realism. This probably one of the most sophisticated and detailed Tik-Tok simulators this year.

The constant barage of messages telling me my content sucks and to end it all was very realistic.

The video recording times were a bit long, maybe a fast-forward button would be good here?

I agree with everyone else saying this should be in the humor category. Really great job!

Very unique entry. Some good humour and i agree with the other comments that you should've kept that rating slot. Now that I think about it this seems like a perfect fit for the theme.

Nice game, but it takes a long time to record a video.

Wow, a game from scratch, thats very surprising, why didnt you go for something simpler to use like Game Engine Unity? The game has lots of humour and doing it via game engine would save you tones of time!

I didnt like that time to wait was this long tho, when people rate Ludum Dare games they dont want to wait for a mintue or 2 doing nothing, thats a note for the future!

I had way more success garnering views in this game than I do in real life, which was nice. The randomized themes leaving me with nothing popular to do for my next video had me wanting a refresh/skip option, but the need to get a video out on time (quality or content be damned) fit pretty well.

I don't actually use TikTok irl so I wasn't sure about the names of the tabs at the beginning but it wasn't too hard to figure out. There was a lot of humour in here for sure, pity it isn't one of the voteable categories, is there any reason you left it out? I certainly appreciated making the whole game from scratch in Java, that is no small task, but waiting so long for the video to be made felt like a bad design decision, like there should be *something* to do while you wait, maybe a minigame to speed it up? I can understand why you wouldn't have time to implement something like that, but in that case just reduce the wait time a lot, it certainly made reviewing the game more painful than it should be. Otherwise, good work!

I was unsure how the trending page related to the picking of the recording sessions. They seemed like arbitrary icons. Maybe if I used tick tock I would know.

What an odd game. Very different. Never expected such a game. I think I got the hang of all of it down. :-)

Yeah it is pretty odd, however i liked it. It is pretty realistic with talk straight about the real life tiktok. It is just same sh*t. The interface is also similar, almost the same. However i am not a big fan of tiktok, i barely use it. So i can't say that this game got me really interested. Nevertheless i admit that it is really great to be honest. I have recently seen someone triyng to do something similar with instagram. It was like the path to becoming an influencer or something like that. It also had such a feature like purchase cheap instagram followers worldwide from sites like https://famoid.com/buy-instagram-followers/. Really nice work from those lads tbh.
