Nice idea. It was fun! Graphics is strange, but from this game can get a good puzzle!
Frustrating at level 2, is it finished?

@sneakyfox Yes it is :) Actually there is only 4 levels, We would like to do more.. but they all have a solution

This is such a fun idea and cool submission! The moment when you die to the spikes restart, see your footsteps, and realize what's going on was great and really got me hooked!

Neat little idea. Thanks for reminding me to add Scanner Sombre to my wishlist.

Also: this is the first time a game has ever made me nauseous. Achievement unlocked, I guess!

When you say QWERTY, I think you mean WASD? Took me a while to figure out why nothing was happening.

Once I Figured out the controls, I stuck with it and beat the game!!!
Was it fun?? Hmm. I really enjoyed slowly understanding the 3d spaces involved. But mostly it was frustrating guess-n-check. Made me think of LIMBO in that sense.

That said, awesome work. This is original and interesting submission, and I'm impressed.

Two more notes -- some music would have gone a long way toward making the slow pace bearable, helped set a tone to feel immersed within.

And, if you're using Unity, check out WebGL next time! It's sooo easy, and doesn't require the download then.

It was fun looking at my clueless footprints in the dark! Genius feature, the one thing you really need when you are moving in the nothingness. I wasn't playing with headphones so I am not sure: are sounds spatial? If not that could be a great way to attract you in the right (or wrong) direction. Well done!

@tommyflower thanks for your feedback, there is 3D space sounds for spikes and footSteps but it could be cool to have 3D sound clues ! Good idea !

I actually finished a game! I guess I can mark this one off my Steam backlog.
But really, this was fun. It was a solid premise. Just needs more scissors.

@guardaro Thanks ! I'm glad our game was your first finished game :) It's an honor. We will be sure to add more to this game later on ^^

@trevor-shoe You're absolutely right, however we didn't have time to make music. It was our first Ludum Dare. We will be sure to add some music later on though!

@kajko Haha yes, we did not add a rotation "max" so you can actually find yourself upside down in some situation.

@sneakyfox It is finished. Like my teammate said there are 4 levels and they are all finished. Hint: "look for the ladder"

great idea for nothingness. couldent go past the 2nd level. Managed to find the spike section but cant get around. Some ambience sound would make the game come more alive. I say ambience since traditional music would not go well with the theme i think.

@mad-brokli I agree with that, there is definitely some sound to be added. As for level two, have you tried going around the other side of the spikes? :)

the style of the game makes me uneasy, but the audio dampens it. the resulting mood is interesting and kept me playing longer, i think. it's a good game. stairs are tricky

@ladypossum I would like to know what makes you uneasy, so we can improve it. I agree, ladders are a bit tricky as you cannot stop on them and they're quite hard to see. Maybe we should add footsteps on the ladder, and the ability to go up/down and stop once on the ladder. What do you think?

@lightwaves just the entire aspect of being able to see nothing is quite disarming, but that's the whole point :) i think it's because it's first person so you get that instinctive idea of danger. i liked having to map out the boundaries of the rooms with hand/footprints.

i'm not sure, i think no footsteps on the ladder actually helped me see the ladder as my handprints stuck to the wall behind it but not the rungs, so i could see more clearly that there was something there.

@ladypossum Interesting... What if, similar to the Spikes, once you climbed all the way up the ladder, it would change color so you would be bale to find it again easier

This is a cool concept, at first I had no idea what was going on, and then the spikes got me and I lol'd xD It was a bit hard though afterwards to tell what was going on.

But being able to see your footprints was an interesting way to see where you were going (sort of)

But overall, well done :)

(also it made me a little nauseous but maybe it's just me)

@savvy-community Thanks for your feedback, actually we wanted to add a compass to be able to understand where you look at and remove that nauseous effect, but I didn't have the time for that, maybe V2 after LD :)

@savvy-community @sarah Thanks for the feedback! A big part of ht en"nauseous" feeling I feel comes from the player's view not being locked. meaning you can do a 360 on the x axis and be looking upside down at times. I realized this when testing but we didn't have time to change it. It will definitely be something that we will improve on post jam though !

Cool game ! Concept is interesting, levels are as confusing as they are supposed to be. Some audio would be cool but great entry anyway !
