Minno by --0

Minno is a game where you start with no inventory. Not just with an empty inventory but without the inventory itself. In order to pick items up and move through the levels you must find inventory pieces and build your inventory. This turns the game into a spatial puzzle all about packing items into your limited inventory.

I can't quite tell if I got to end, It was a puzzle with 4 green squares and no exits. It was a little confusing. I'll just assume it was the end. I really liked it! The idea of collecting and arranging an inventory is really interesting. The puzzles felt very well though out. The process of moving things around in the inventory didn't feel great to me though. It felt like the controls would be much more suited to a touchscreen or maybe a mouse. As it stands there is a lot of rapidly tapping left and right arrow keys, and It just feels like too many button presses to accomplish a single action. Very well done though, and great concept!

I like it! Got a little difficult when dealing with two inventories.

@kleinzach You did make it to the end! That last "level" is a bit of a place holder since we never got around to making a legitmate end. I agree that mouse support would be useful. It was on our list but for first time web devs it was a little out of reach for us within the time constraints. Thanks for the feedback!

The puzzle ideas were really nice, I think the second to last level where you had to use the 2 inventories on the ground in order to make room for the 3x3 was my favorite! I wish there was an undo button though since you can permanently mess up if you didn't configure your inventory shape correctly. I had to restart and play through the puzzles again when that happened.

@herman-chau Apologies, there *is* a restart level button in the game, but we forgot to mention it in the controls.

Such a cool concept, would love to see (and would buy) a mobile release of this.

I like how there are layers to what you pick up, than how you arrange the stuff. Is a really cool idea. The music and art just fit really well, super fun to play!

I really love this concept, I've never played anything quite like it! Even though the concept is really simple I found some of them very challenging and satisfying to solve.

It took me a while to figure out exactly what I was supposed to do, but once that was sorted the puzzles were surprisingly deep. Graphics and sound are fairly cohesive, though I found the music loop a bit droning after a while.

Overall solid entry. Could use some better controls perhaps, but otherwise great!

I liked this concept of your game. Even though the game's graphics are simple but match with your game's style. The sound is perfect for your game. Even though the game is hard for me, I enojoyed it.

I really liked the music for this one. Very relaxing and chill.

I do like the concept of this, but for some reason the game was extremely laggy as I was trying to play it, which made learning the controls a lot harder and frustrating. There would be periods where the game doesn't respond for seconds, and I think I'm doing something wrong, until it finally comes back.

Once I realized it might have been a performance bug or something, I kind of got over it. I think the mechanic is fun and easy to understand, though the lack of movable inventories once you place them leads to a lot of easy-to-fail moments.

The puzzles were satisfying though, and I think I got to the limbo ending...

Fun concept!

It took my a little while to figure out how the game worked, but once I got going I was hooked! Really enjoyed the simplicity of the graphics and the complexity of building the inventory. It was really satisfying to find exactly the right spots for different shapes or using what the level showed to foreshadow what to do.

I think you should continue building this one, it has a lot of potential!
Thanks for the fun experience =]

Very cool concept, some puzzles are hellish hard! I agree that with some improved graphics, it could be a great mobile game :)

the idea of upgrading your inventory to put block in it the way you want works really great, it's a challenging puzzle game, with an original gameplay mechanic, great minimalistic visual that fit perfectly, it's neat !

@kamulec It's the last level but it can't be beat. So if you made it there you've beaten the game. It's just there because we didn't figure out what should happen when the game ends.

This is such a good puzzle game, this could totally be developed for mobile. The audio was also really good and fit the simplistic art style, the controls and how the game worked was easy to pickup, but also led to some challenging puzzles! Overall, this is an amazing jam entry!

Great idea, especially considering its exploration of the gamejam theme. Inventory controls were clunky and took me a while to figure out. It was very satisfying to solve the puzzles!

Really fun puzzle game to get to the end stumped me on some of the puzzles and made me think. Glad I got to the last level wish there was more tho as it was fun!

This was a really neat puzzle game, I'm glad I got to play it =)

Was a bit stuck on the first inventory management level, would have been nice if that control was given in game, but otherwise perfect execution!

Oh my, that was an interesting puzzle game! Literal inventory management! The puzzles were laid out quite nicely, with a steady difficulty of progression that didn't feel steep. Some things could be clearer, though; perhaps using circles instead of rounded squares to differentiate inventory-related things and things like doors or switches? Still, didn't take me long at all to figure out what was what. All in all, great job, a very innovative entry!

@justcamh "would have been nice if that control was given in game": I'm wondering what you mean by this? I would be happy to make changes to the description if it would improve clarity for future users, I just don't know exactly what you are suggestion. Thanks for leaving a comment.

Very nice game! I enjoyed playing it all. The graphics are simple but fits very well with the mechanics and the music. As people have already said mouse controls to the inventory would be great but still a very fun and playable game. Congratulations for your work!

@u-tsang-clan Like if the game told me that you can press e or i or escape to open inventory. I don't believe that was explained ingame, and if it was, I missed it.

I would have liked it if you could move around the inventory space blocks once you already put them down. Maybe mouse controls for moving blocks would be good too.

This is a really cool game, I've always been the kind of person who likes to keep their inventory super organized (even if I am not like that IRL) and I've been working on some kind of inventory management type game. This is a super interesting implementation of that kind of game, and I really like how it plays here. One thing that was a bit annoying was that when changing between inventory and movement modes the game would freeze a bit, but that wasn't a big deal. Overall really impressive game!
