All about the art here is great, sure is the best stuff with this game!
Gameplay wise it's a simple and well made one. Sometimes there was too much stuff going on, and I didn't know if using the attack was working out.

Nice work!

Nicely done! I really liked the concept and art! And the play mechanism. Keep it up!

The main character's art was well made and appealing! I really wanted to try the game based on that alone! Overall though, it was very difficult to distinguish what was going in the game. You can probably fix this issue by dimming the background elements a bit and highlighting the player/enemies to give more contrast to the scene. This would also go well with the theme of them being in a different realm.

Very funny game, reminded me of an old-school Newgrounds Flash game. There wasn't a ton of feedback on attacking, it was hard to tell if I was damaging the defenders or not. Not bad, but pretty simple.

I really enjoyed reading the signs in the background. I found that W and S didn't really do anything?

Well done!

I enjoyed the art and rolling is always fun. Some of the enemies seemed very strong and maybe a few more varied enemies would have been cool.

For some reason the top half of the screen is cropped off on my browser (Chrome). Zooming out fixed it though. Pretty nice hack and slash and the background signs and art are great!

Love the character. Animation and controls are quite fun. Only the slashing could potentially be sped up. The tethers have potential for having some elastic effect js. Oh and occasionally the roll I would have some trouble with. Really solid though. Thanks so much for sharing this work :)

Love the animation and idea! I felt like it was hard to kill the flying enemies. The dodge was a lot of fun to use!

Fun concept, and I loved the names on the stores (individually wrapped beans, eh?)

Great looking game, it has a very distinct style that lends to the fun nature of the game. I liked the music and sounds, I thought that they were well done and fit perfectly. The gameplay itself is very simple, but I thought that it was quite well polished and felt fun to play. Just mashing the dodge and attack keys together seemed to be an effective strategy, I got a high score of 5375. I did find it quite difficult to see, and therefore dodge, the ranged attacks, but they did provide a good challenge. Overall I found this to be a very solid game, great job!

The graphics and gameplay are pretty good, I like the grade for scoring too! I think it needs feedback (microstops and shakescreen on hits for example) and more connection with the jam theme.

Congratulations to the team! I really like the mood of this one! <3 I had a little difficulty controlling the character and it was a bit hard to hit the enemies

Polished art and catchy music! Very well executed, and the snarky text is a nice touch.

The game is fun to play but you should try to pass more information to the player. For example, I didn't know if my attacks here hitting the enemies or not. Overall it was fun and I liked the animations as well.
