The games graphics and sounds is really good, but the drawing mechanic could have been better. Overall is this a okay jam game.

You should not have Opt-out of the categories graphics and mood, but you should have Opt-out of the category audio. You can still change this.

amazing graphics. I found it very difficult to paint with the brush.

I agree with the others... The painting is quite difficult! But the zen ambiance is there!

An excellent use of the theme! I created a drawing game myself and really appreciate your use of setting and controls to immerse the player. A larger drawing area might be nice, but this was very therapeutic.

As a person who has done chinese calligraphy in school, the results were kinda embarrassing (maybe it's because this is japanese). Writing with the brush feels more wobbly around than crisp and sharp.

The sound and art design was great however, and the mood was definitely there.

Not bad really

Peaceful little game. Very nice art style. A bit hard to control though. Good work!

This was a really nice stress relief, really well done on the atmosphere.

Very atmospheric, very calm and relaxing. One of the few games where I had a sprint button and didn't use it :D

I think my main criticism is the brush mechanic as well. It just feels too smoothed to control it. It also hits the canvas slightly too early so you always end up with a line when you lower it. Those should be easy fixes though.

Really nice graphics, but this is pretty simple, so it's not a very fun game.

I loved the graphics! Truth is, I only came here for the shoji and tatami, but I enjoyed the calligraphy idea as well.

I could only stay in the game for a couple of minutes though, because of the extra wide FOV and the way-too-wide weave of the tatami that were messing with my eyes.

To resolve the issue of the brush mechanic that everyone seems to be complaining about, you might check out a game called Okami. *queue echos*

When you go into brush mode, the camera look control switches to brush control, which allowed for a much more intuitive feel, and if you do need to move the camera, the regular move controls are dampened and used to pan the camera around a bit.

Outstanding graphics for a 3d game made in 72 hours!(although the fake skybox was kind of ruining it). Also really innovative i think, and really relaxing atmosphere. The only two things i want to say is that the painting mechanics were quite difficult, the brush was kind of too fast in reaching the paper sheet , and an erase function would've been nice. That said, i will surely keep this game on my computer!

I think I just need the relaxing atmosphere because I spent way too much time doodling. Great job on the 3D environment, it looks really nice.

I thought it was a relaxing game... But I failed drawing EVERY paint so I laught a lot and failed to relax. Btw what's the relation with the subject of the jam ?

Loved the environment, and then the black void under the skybox kind of ruined it for me :) Really loved the idea, but I wished brush controls were a bit more responsive, and there would be some kind of feedback for completing the characters. Great idea though!
