When I got to the gameover\\you lose text prompt I quickly hit enter to try again and found I still had all the stones I had gotten before and none of the enemy's I had already run into played there sound or moved when I came near them. The try again option is supposed to work like that, you don't lose any of your progress. The enemies get frozen when you put their stone on the batteries.
