Game Concepts and Level Designs

  • The concept of a level design for this game is that there's nothing at first, and then there's a level added as the character moves.
  • As the character moves, a new level is added.
  • But the level that was created in the past is either lost or modified. That's an important concept of the game's level design.
  • So there's no help for character movement at first. I want to know what to be moved by how the level of experience.
  • But I fixed this part. Now I've shown you how to move forward at each level.
  • It's a simple and easy game, but please play it fun. And give me some advice

I really like the paper art style. The controls are a little wonky in my opinion. Like sometimes it takes a while to speed up all the way, occasionally longer than other times. I really enjoyed the simple yet challenging gameplay, I only wish there was a more clear way to see where the end of a level was. Overall a very enjoyable game with a very unique art style. Well done!

Very cute platformer! I was only frustrated by friction on the walls and by last level... that didn't actually changed to another screen at the end ;)

I enjoyed the simplicity of drawings, which makes your game nice at the same time!

The paper art style isn't bad. The controls are a little rough though...The jump seemed to increase speed mid-way up the jump which makes the precision jumps very difficult. I liked the concept of the next level adding onto the previous level.

The controls where a bit unresponsive and the friction was set too high, but other than that, a really cool concept

The art idea is really awesome and worth to further explore I'd say!
With that being said, the assets in the game could have used just a little bit of post-processing (little white dot at the corners and lightness differences where two pieces are put together for example).

Controls are indeed somewhat wonky and I feel that a little background music could have improved the game a lot.

Some levels felt like they stop in the middle and the last one I did several times until I realized this was the last one. So some kind of goal indication would have been nice.

But all in all a solid entry with a really awesome graphics idea :)

I agree with the above comment on seeing the end of a level. Having a visual for what we're working toward would be nice, and I'd also like just a simple sound effect for landing as well as completing a level, but otherwise a good and straightforward entry! :)

The controls feel quite strange: friction was set too high and the jump is very hard too control because how the speed over-time escalates.
Very unique and cool art style tho!

So this is the end? The controlling fells good! I like the friction between the player and the platform, and the idea of constantly adding levels is great! I guess the whole level may be rorating if the levels continue, in all, great job! ![Snipaste_2019-10-09_21-24-04.png](///raw/016/91/z/291ed.png)

Well, as people said, without any visual for where the goal is some levels are frustrating.

Also, I love the graphics, but I think that solid color background is really out of style. Maybe some hatching would look better, like, hatch an actual sheet of paper with a pen and then photo it and put it in the background.

Nice little game! It would help, as the other commenters pointed out, to have some indication of where the destination is for each level. The aesthetics are really neat, but the dark blue background looks a bit off here - perhaps something like pencil hatching would look more in line with the rest of the visual. Also, I found the playable character movement to be a bit on the slow side. Some background music would be nice, too. I had fun playing the game, though! I hope you can develop it further.

I really like the artwork but was missing some sound. Also, the movement was a little weird, as people stated the slow acceleration played a little problematic.

Cool entry, liked how you used this paper style, just lacks a few sound effects and some musics. I like what you did there with the level that builds itself each time you reach your goal, fits the theme well.

I like the hand drawn graphics style! very nice. The movement was a bit heavy for a platformer but it just added to the challenge so there's a good side. Some kind of a papery sound would be great for this. Like paper crumbling and stuff. But all in all a neat paper platformer, I enjoyed!

@smbe19 I'm sorry. The system of this game is a way of moving to the first position when a new level is reached. So when it's filled with a screen-filled platform, it starts from a new location. It'll be even more weird now that we've made only Level 1 in total. I will continue to make it. The character movement is being fixed.

The hand-drawn style is very nice. Wish there was more than simple platforming, though. Some doodle enemies would have added alot more charm to this game.

Also wish there were sound effects for clearing a level and dying instead of just one for jumping.

The style is interesting, though am not sure about the slow revelation of the level, or what mechanic that serves.

Maybe having to earn the revelation/creation of an 'easy' route after taking a hard one, if the levels were larger and there were set restart points.

Pretty cool game, short and simple which I clearly prefer that to long and frustrating. The controls work well and the platforming is satisfying.

The graphic have a certain charm too, but doing them on paper and taking a photo of them after causes a little lack of cohesiveness. For instance the paper doesn't always have the same color and the junction between different sprites can be a bit jarring. The blue background isn't very paper-y either, perhaps a texture like this http://img.hisupplier.com/var/userImages/2008-11/20/glpaper$004445729(s).jpg might have worked better. Anyways that's mostly nitpicks but a potential lead for improvement next time.

Good job !

@johnnysix Thank you for your interest. Every time the game reaches a new point, a new level emerges. When you start, you cannot see the entire level. When you play a game, a new level emerges. The last level and the new level appear together.Right now, it's a level with one correct answer. I'll keep the easy level and the difficult level together. To do that, you'll need to make the scene bigger.
