Keep your dream rock alive!

First jam, went in day late and completely unprepared, but managed to create something anyway.

Thanks for looking at my game so I thought I should look at your as well. I could play it and that is an achievement for you because I am not good at downloading games. Not going to lie thought it would be boring but once I started it was surprisingly fun and enjoyable. One criticism is to make the instructions a little more clear and explain why the screen starts fading. Otherwise a really good game!

I like the minimalism here, and the way you expressed the conflict between taking care of a relationship, and finding time for oneself. I’m proud I released the rock into the wilds :)

This is a beautiful example of expressing abstract ideas with game mechanics. I really thought it was just going to be a tamagotchi, and i thought it worked really well that that's how the game is presented until you realize what it's about.

Great job, I loved it. :)

also, DreamRock.exe.zip (your mac build) has 'exe' in the title, but does in fact contain a mac build. It tricked me when i tried to download and play it on windows

Nice.

I was expecting a bit of a one note joke, and got I lovely little allegory.

Nice work!

I feel calmer after playing this game, it was cathartic and also very oddly thought provoking.

^ I agree with @swanijam's comment - the game is deceptively simple and yet does make a thought provoking point (especially in the middle of the current lock-down). Adding a little music would have really emphasised this.

A really great game idea! What i'd have loved is to have more time to read, and less challenge.
Congrats on your game!

My dream rock had great success in the wilds! Run, run, you dreamy rock :)! I really love the abstract concept of this game. Such things really get my imagination gears going.

The game worked just fine and I didn't really notice any strange behavior or bugs. Gameplay is simple but you get more engaged in the idea than the gameplay itself. Good jam job!

And additional points for Godot engine (incidentally, we also made our game in Godot :)).

This is a funny concept, nice and simple. Some sound effects would have been cool! Some games don't need to be very complicated to be fun for a moment, well done!

Thank you for the kind comments - they really helped to fuel my determination to continue on with game development.

This event has been a treasure trove of valuable experience - I have learned, gained and grown more than I could have ever expected to. Hopefully that was also true for everyone.

Wish you all the best - stay safe and keep your dreams alive!
