I really wanted to get that crap, but the character movement was really slow...

It's cool that you made it procedurally generated! I think the controls could use a bit of work, you accelerate really fast and also you don't fall while you're not moving for some reason. Beating people up and getting their money is satisfying though ^^

Cool map and idea, dont think the music fitted the game to well, and the controls need a bit more work. The character design looks great

Nice level generation. The music was a beat yo :sunglasses:

The movement on the other hand was janky. Which made it unplayable on some instances with moving platforms, since falling was artificial, and you had to move witht he platform, but as you're faster, you'd fall off inevitably. I also was not able to see any big effects in getting powerful, but hey it's an endless quest after all.

I liked the music but i couldn't move the character at the start. I tried using keyboard and controller and neither would move the player. So i couldn't experience the game. If you can fix that bug i'll replay the game and re-rate it.

Same problem here - keyboard controls pretty much don't work. If you keep right arrow pressed, character makes small moves to the right once in a while, rendering the game unplayable. The music znd graphics are nice though, I wish I was able to plat the game in an intended manner.

I am unable to make it past the start screen. Its just hung here. When I hold left arrow or D the character run animation plays but he does not move. I liked the music and the title has some of that Ludum dare humor mixed in.

Nice Music and cute graphics.

Keyboard controls are kinda wonky. The character would zip to the right and the jump wasn't very responsive. I ended up running straight into a lot of pits

Music is great, animation and graphics are great, but I couldn't manage to get the character moving right. I was able to inch to the right every so often by spamming jump and holding right, but once I got to the first elevator platform I got stuck in the ceiling (which was a good laugh)

The audiovisuals are cool, but the gameplay is way too clunky. I tried going for a few attempts, I even got 4th or 5th power level on my last one, but the super-speedy movement combined with the falling pits and moving platforms is just too much.

That one time I didn't lose by falling into a pit I got stuck into ceiling after being skyrocketed there while jumping from a vertically moving platform instead. >.<
Also, sometimes the collision felt "jagged", as if the collision was based around the main character's actual 3D model. In 2D platformers, it's often a good idea to base a collision around some character-centered rectangle instead, and I think this game would benefit from such approach.

Also, I really would have preferred if there was some tangible increase in power after upgrading it. At some point I was genuinely wondering whether I'm increasing the power of mine or of the opponents, because they took more and more hits to be taken down. ^^'

(also, I'm not really sure if "nothing but your axe" counts as "nothing"...)

I hope you'll take notes from this experience and sort out the platforming mechanics by the next Jam. ^^
