Fun little game, I enjoyed running around trying to search for weapons and dodge those slime thingys. I wasn't able to figure out how to pick up weapons though. I kept pressing E/X but it wasn't doing anything. So I just fought with my fists :P

The mobs are kind of annoying and make it hard to discover what the different items do.

@nithin I just barely finished so I could only get a few items in. There are 3 buffs, a health potion, and 2 weapons. The move speed buff is the only one that you will immediately notice a difference.

Nice work, was a fun game. I think I was a bit over-buffed for the boss.

@mactinite Nice job, the buffs were added pretty much 1 hour until submission so I didn't have a lot of time to tweak difficulty.

Great game! Lasted 5 seconds against the boss on my first try before dying, but then got the hang of it and defeated the boss pretty easily. The game has loads of potential and was a lot of fun, good job!

@vsquitiro I've learned to keep it short for LD if you want people to play it fully, that and it's easier to make and test.

@archfan7411 Glad you enjoyed, I intended to have more of a selection for players to choose from but coding for multiple attack mechanics proved to be too time consuming. This was a good proof of concept, I intend to work on a more robust combat system that I can maybe use in April for the next LD.

Nice entry. Very arcadish music and graphics. I couldn't understand how the powerups really works but still survived for 32s against the boss :)

@velvetlobster The boss is very difficult if you don't have a weapon or get any of the buffs. The real surprise is when some of the slime guys are in the boss room when you get teleported back in.

A fun game, definitely a step above some of the other games submitted (not to say that they are fun, they are)

cool concept! i liked it, on the first run i died vs slimes lol, so the only thing i would change is the storing system to no overwrite the weapons (it happened to me, got overrided with a powerup) and to attack the direction you are moving (had struggles with slimes that comes from top/bottom)

Cool game, I it was a bit tough to pick up items with so many mobs swarming you, but after a bit I got sued to it. Really fun entry!

I found the controls really awkward, I had to cramp my hand to use the number keys to select slots and always forgot that E was grab and not Space. Also, for a game with a top-down perspective, you should be able to attack up and down as well, killing a bunch of slimes was a nightmare because of this! I really enjoyed the music and the graphics though.

I like how the boss looks like, the music was nice, i found the controls a bit weird maybe because we could only attack left and right in top down game and item usage on attack was annoying especially when interacted with potions but overall nice, simple, little, fun game

Great game, collecting items under the time limit and beating the boss is cool. The only thing I feel not so good is that the game key is a little bit too focused, it would be much better if the key of switching item is JKL.

Idea of the game is good, but it lacks in playability and presentation as it's not at first clear what you can do. I ended up cancelling my weapon for many times before I realized I have to change the slot... And also the buffs are very unclear: Does consuming them them discard them or use them or are they active when they exists in the slots. I liked the idea that you gear up before the boss awakens.
