world first!

:)

nice game! my only real criticism is that I didn't really know what the Altar did, i had to replay up to that part to understand it. (Turns out it was because I placed it in a crummy spot)

Fun game! both our games are about resource management!

Amazing game! There is a very high degree of polish here for a compo entry, and the overall game was really fun to play. I found it a bit grindy to finally get the obelisk, though.

The rhythm was amazing. Every single thing in the game just swung together in the music. It is quite satisfying.

There was a small problem with the pigs. Sometimes they just stacked together and acted as if there was only one pig. Well that was really 'piggy' XD. Anyway, I still enjoyed the game ♥

Hi @moebiusmeow thanks for playing the game. Yeah sorry about the pig stacking. I fixed that in the post-jam version. Thanks!

At first I was only going to give this game a few minutes. It hooked me and I played until the end. Really loved the simple gameplay loop here.

That's a funny game. The music gets a bit repetitive though ^^"

Love the concept, this is such great fun! Music suits the game really well and doens't become annoying. This could be such a great little world builder if you decide to go furture with it! Could quite happily sit here and play this game for hours! Great job! My only critique is that I wish I could zoom out with the scroll wheel.

@humphreysmedia I went ahead and added mouse wheel zoom out to the post-compo version. Great suggestion and only took a few minutes.

Cool strategy. I was pleased with the tasks that allowed me to feel progress.

It would be nice to remove not only trees, but also buildings.

Whole island dancing to the rhythm of the song is cute as hell .)

Maybe remove the vocals from the music theme...?

I really enjoyed this game, I ended up spending way more time playing it then I expected. The polish on the graphics are great, and I loved the animation of the little characters bouncing along to the fantastic music. As I played I just kept finding myself wanting to build more and more, which led to never quite having enough to finish the game. Very fun.

I thought that it was an interesting decision to have the cost of the houses scale up as more were built, but to have the cost of everything else stay constant. This led to me ending up with a lot of pigs and trying to come up with ways to contain them and stop them from competing for the same trees. I also found that the alter was almost pointless to build, as far as I could tell the bonus that it gave never really scaled up, and collecting from several houses, allowing it to work, played havoc with the pathing of my people. These complaints were very minor though, I thought that this was a great game overall and has an amount of polish that I see in very few LD games. Great job!

I enjoyed this one very much! The graphics are nice, and the music is nice, but the way they interplay is really great.

I like that there's not really a "score", so there's no stress about doing things wrong, but on the other hand that probably means there's less replay value (which doesn't matter at all for LD, of course).

One thing I'd have liked to have is a way to zoom in or out, but missing that isn't too bad because the island never gets too big anyway.

Well done!

Very nice game. Beautiful graphics, retro music and clever design. It was not just a clicking idle game but it had mechanics (such as altars-priests) that encouraged me to rearrange the world in order to be more effective. Well done!

What a fantastic project, your game was one of the more fun ones I've played so far. The graphics are a little weak, but that's expected coming from a compo game. Great work!

Funny entry. Liked the sound effect when building a coconut hut. The music was good too. Also I liked the satisfaction of having a coconut pit full and you getting them. I wish that you could scroll out for a bird eye view and also I wish that you could destroy buildings. I liked the way the villagers walked about in a beat side to side. That was very cool to see and the music went right along with it! I played this one for quite a while. Fun game, good entry!

Nice game, Wyatt! I'm not sure why I built a pig pen? Nor what the blessings do. And the layout somehow matters for blessings? It's not clear how I was supposed to place stuff to maximize this.

It feels like something big should happen when I finally get my obelisk. I am writing this comment while I wait for coconuts. 500?! Really?!

Very fun! When the pigs came out I was instantly reminded of Black & White. With a nice little storyline associated with the tasks it would be a complete package!

Yes, my great coconut empire with its obelisk in the middle will be thriving for years to come!

Very cool game. I think what I liked most was how every different way of gathering devotion was useful. Like usually you have one thing that is greatly more useful than others, but I always got a good chunk of devotion from blessings, offering pits and the pigs, that felt very balanced to me. Another thing I enjoyed greatly was how the little coconut islanders hopped around synched to the music, that was very mesmerizing to look at. And I also would like to praise the quest structuring, it was always clear what the goal was, and I think that's adds a lot of fun with games centered around building. All in all, a very good game!

Cute game. At the end it was mostly waiting though, until you had enough for an obelisk. But was a quite enjoyable experience.

Very good game! So fun and so polished! To improve it, I miss some kind of enemy, that could reduce your devotion, or eat your coconuts, etc.

I liked the minimalistic graphics presented on this game. It kinda helped create the atmosphere shared with the soundtrack, which is nice enough to be playing on loop and dont get boring.

The mechanics provide a nice and interesting gameplay, however i felt it lacked some kind of challenge. I guess the proposal is to be a chill game after all, given the fact that the last objective is more of a waiting until you got the resources you need than find a solution to find the resources.

Excellent job anyway.

The Spirit Island inspiration was nice to see, as I'm a big fan of that game. The way everyone moved about and the overall look was really pleasant.
