[ A puzzle game about robots that came with no controls ]

Welcome to the Robo training facility -- a training ground for newly created Robos to learn the basics of Robo behavior. Each Robo is installed with a special module that allows them to move left, right, and... What!?!? Our funding was cut and they came installed with nothing?!

Well then, I guess it's up to you to train them, one module at a time.

By taking on this task, you are ensuring that these Robos will help make the world a better place with their little cute faces. Thank you, and have a pleasant day.

P.S. Watch out for the warp doors! Whooooaaaaa~

10/9 - Added Mac OS version. ( If it doesn't initially run, try dragging the game to the desktop or another folder from the dmg ).

10/13 - Fixed a bug where the game would crash if a Robo fell off the stage.

Game is very well balanced. I personally enjoyed the movement of the player the most of all.

To deprive player of full control is not new, but the way you applied it was unusual in a good way and innovative.
I stopped at level 17, but the ones I played were varied and some had the luxury to have different solutions.
It would be cool to know how many levels there are and the passing through platform were a bit quirky at times.
Overall nice entry

Liked it a lot! The gameplay is simple at first glance, but the restriction of the movement is what makes it addictive. Thumbs up!

Fantastic game! The puzzles are interesting, and very satisfying to figure out and solve. Especially the level 11/14 puzzles. Level 17 was a little weird, mechanically, in that there seemed to be several different ways to solve the puzzle I ended up getting it by accident! I wasn't able to solve level 18, so I can't comment on levels after that.

I found what I think is a bug with the "win" animation. In lvl 7, there were two arrows leftover, and they appeared at the front layer, zooming in through the doors. Oops!

Speaking of the "win" animation, I thought it was very well done! the zoom-in effect was fun to watch and made the level transitions more fun.

The music worked well at first, but then got repetitive after playing it for so long. A longer music track, with more variation or different songs after a certain number of levels might help with that.

Also, the robots felt a little bit on the slow side.

Otherwise, loved playing it! A very impressive puzzle game to complete for a game jam! The robots are adorable as well.

Good concept for a puzzle game! I'm always happy to see puzzle games and this one is no exception. Also the robots are super cute.

This is a fun puzzle game! The mechanics are simple yet some of the puzzles are quite complicated. I couldn't beat level 18, there seems to be a bug where robots with the jump control that have collided with robots with the right movement control keep moving right even if the right moving robots aren't colliding with them anymore. After several tries I gave up. Overall a really fun entry, good work!

I like the simplicity! Really felt like it went well with the theme of the game. The simple sound design and art worked really well for the gameplay. The puzzles were interesting and challenging. Only gripe is it felt like it really ramped up hard around level 17. I couldn't get past level 18 to be honest. Great game concept overall though!

I liked the idea of starting with no controls and turning it into a fun puzzle game. Good job! I ran into one bug, a robot fell off the edge of a platform and the screen went black and I had to restart the game. Also I think I completed level 7 without using all the pickups, not sure if that was intentional?

Awesome idea and concept. The First levels was a bit too easy which made me loose interest a little bit. But it's nice to get an intro to the new mechanics but still it took a while until it was really a free puzzle where you were not guided by the game

Very cute! Some of the puzzles were quite tricky and I liked the premise. The "unlocking controls" idea feels like an obvious application of the theme, but only letting the robots have one at a time is a nice twist. I also appreciated the level-transition animation. :)

AHHH! This game is great! The little touches plus the solid puzzle mechanic really sold me.

Solid puzzle design. Well done.

You found a good simple mechanic and then progressively explored it level by level. I try to do that myself when I do puzzle mechanics and it was a pleasure to see you work through it in this game.

As others have mentioned, a longer sound track would have been nice. It also would have been nice to skip ahead levels since dying occasionally causes crashes and restarting a 18+ level game is a bit discouraging. I only made it to around level 15 before I fell off the platform and got the black screen of death.

Otherwise, you seem to have made a pretty well rounded game. The UI isn't lacking much and isn't in the way at all. The robot controls were intuitive. The setting was intriguing and fun. The robots were great.

Overall, I enjoyed playing. Thanks for sharing it.

Pretty fun to play, some of the levels are really tough and i think you nailed the progression!
I like the zoom transition after completing the level.
Cool game!

Great core concept with a surprising level of depth once more robots were incorporated. Also that jumping animation is absolutely adorable, that alone was enough to power me through! Great level design sense as well - the way new elements were incorporated in simply without any onscreen prompts was expertly done. One of the best games I've played so far!

This is really nice! It took me until level 7 for me to say "OH I GET IT!" Animations and music are adorable, the puzzles are pretty well thought-out, and the concept of starting to build your own set of controls per level is really unique! Good job :D

OMG they are so happy after completing the level <3 the conpect is really simple at 1st but can get super complex after theintroduction of new "skills" and robots... game is fun and the puzzle is good... Nice job man! Work on it outside the jam : )

Cool little puzzle game! I love how interesting puzzle and challenging game you can make with only few simple mechanics. In some levels (14) I felt solution is too precise position dependent. But the most of levels were well designed and fun to solve. Love it!
