CREATURE GOES TO LIFE

The goal is to make a creature the Frankenstein way, and then keep it alive as long as possible !

Keys : ZQSD or WASD to move, E / right click to use levers, left click to pickup / drop objects !

The keys can be changed in the Unity launcher in INPUT tab : Horizontal / Vertical Axis, Use, and Carry.

Keys for the pipe game :

Use your mouse, left click to pick / drop pipe, right click to turn it.

IF YOU ARE LOST :

what to do :

First, you need to make the creature alive.

  • by adding arms and legs to its body. You add glue / bandage / tissu, then the body part you need.

  • Repair the machine ! Add gears and a pipes box ! Pipe game : You need to join the green pipes by moving / turning the red pipes.

  • Give a pizza to the creature !

  • Turn on the machine lever and main lever. ITS ALIVE !! ITS ALIIIIVE !!

  • Now its alive, so maintain blood, hunger by giving food, stick the body parts that pops out of the body, and repair the machine when it breaks ! If you need glue or gears, craft it !

I made all myself, except some 3D models I found for free online !

Tools used :

  • Unity with Visual Studio
  • Blender
  • Bitwig
  • Paint dot net

I liked it, it was slightly annoying that I couldn't rebind my keys, we dutchies use Qwerty like the rest of the world 😄. But I really liked the idea and mechanics at play here, good job!

Cool game, this is so sad that no one noticed it already, you have a lot potential of making first person 3d games, and who know, maybe you can make your first commercial game!

Brilliant, I love it! Things got intense once I turned on the machines! With some improved graphics this could be absolutely amazing.

Thx for your comments :) @santaclausnl you can rebind keys with the launcher, under "Input" tab :) @aret24 thx a lot ! I published a game on Steam, you can find it here : https://store.steampowered.com/app/1247030/Perpetual_Dream/ (soon on itch.io aswell) @ion-programming yup I'm bad at graphics, I seek what I can get on the internet ^^ But the creature face was made by me haha

Très sympa pour un jeu fait tout seul en 72 h. On avait eu cette idée, mais finalement on avait pas trouvé forcement de gameplay sympa. Bah là on est pas mal et c'est cool de voir que certains on trouver des solutions :)
Good Job !

The game freakin weird and I enjoyed the crap out of it. I really felt like a mad scientist, and the music sold the vibe.

This game has a lot of potential. I will admit the controls were difficult for me but I love the idea behind this game. Good job!

It is very cool, lot of fun and very funny graphic style and music. I like the animated textures, it look creepy. Just one thing, the pizza hasn't bottom, maybe the issue is in overturned normals.

Well. 126 seconds. Got to buy stronger glue next time.
It was funny to switch abruptly from puzzle game to something more arcade like, especially with those sound effects.

I lost all the building materials, I wish you could get more of those! I couldn't get the other gear, rip (but nice game! I enjoyed.)

@nurkkacthulhu thx for the feedback, I got some similar returns, the other gear problem, I will look at it quickly to see if I can correct this fast ! If you reboot the game this should solve this problem tho

I put my materials into the maker and nothing came out. Other than that, it was a good game!

I really liked the story !! I prefer the games with a in-game tutorial or some intro that catchs you in te story. But it's a really good game. Congratulations

Really weird game which plays with your expectations. At first it seems like a puzzle, but then it goes crazy. The sound added to this wacky atmosphere. I lived for 160 secs and my creature exploided for no reason, haven't seen his brain overload. Remaking the grahpics assets will surely change the tone, if the tone you targeted was crazy - than you achived that pretty well.

I like the game a lot some thing to maybe fix is it is easy to glitch physics objects outside of the room and pushing your face against the wall you can see outside.

I expected the game to end when I assembled the creature, so it was a really fun surprise to see the whole second half of the game unfold. Surprisingly in depth for a jam game
