Post mortem - last 30 sec life's memories by PabloTitan

Post mortem

What will be your memories you'll recall at the end?

You start with nothing, not even your life.

30 seconds after your death you float in the void and can call to mind your memories.

:loud_sound: Best experienced with sound! :ghost: :headphones:

Honestly, I did not understand the game at all. Maybe you need some variations

For sure, it is not so long and not so diverse now, but I liked it so much, that I would love to develop it further, add some background story, more memorable moments and challenges to overcome. For now, it's kind of a self-experienced detective game, where you try to recollect someone's memories basing only on some sounds resembling memories in a mind. It indeed should have some challenge at the end, so thanks for the honest review, I really appreciate it! :)

The ticking of the clock and the different sound effects really enchanced the mood. After the end screen it continued but without any memories. Did I miss something? Anyway an interesting idea and a nice entry!

Thanks for a review! :) I wanted to loop it, but I see now there is a bug with recreating those memories. I will try to fix it as soon as possible, so for now, let's assume that one play is enough

I tried several times to find a good memory. Are there only bad memories? :(

I liked the mood. The audio got sometimes a bit messy when the memories were clustered too close.

Thanks for a review! ;) There are "good" memories, but it's of course arbitrary - I have chosen memories that I think are good, like a memorable birthday party, applaud when you reach something e.g. finish college, but I didn't wanted to force the same on players, because I want you to interpret it by yourself :) I agree that when you attract many memories and they start to play instantly it's messy, maybe a queue for sounds would be ok?

Good mood and outstanding sound design. But... what the heck was I doing in the game?

A small and peculiar game about memories. But the problem is that I haven't found any difference between the numbers of bad and good memories and that it's hard to avoid bad memories.

As I said earlier, I didn't managed to add any challenges I planned with bad memories and I wanted to add also some upgrades planned with good memories - thus the game is just a jam game and I won't add anything because it's after deadline and I don't want to cheat :D I will surely polish it after jam, because I enjoyed creating what resembles someone's life memories :) Thanks for reviews!
P.S. If you want to escape bad memories that are following you, use dash (space key)! :)

I love the mood and sounds. But at first I didn't get what I need to do. Then on my 2-3 try I thought than blue ones are bad memories, dont know why xD

Really interesting concept but things are a bit confused for now (though I suppose it does fit the theme to be confused ^^). You created a nice atmoshpere as well, well done ! (especially since you were by yourself :) )

...then everything changed when the fire nation....i mean the car accident happened.
Even though i just could get bad memories, the mood of the game was quite amazing. Nice work.
